mrgstiffler
My builtin soundcard is not support and it looks like support might be a ways off. I'm thinking to get a USB Sound adapter to use but am wondering which one has the best support. TBx86
I use a Emu 0404 USB 2.0, works great. The Tracker Pre USB and 0202 USB 2.0 will also work. http://www.emu.com/products/welcome.asp?category=610& Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110451-which-usb-sound-adapter/#findComment-819404 Share on other sites
JBLanteigne
That's more like a usb soundcard... Just for the record, I use a M-Audio Firewire Solo and it works really well with os x. But I'm looking for a cheap usb alternative with 1/8 in and out or something. Would something like this work: http://www.color-cubes.com/sound-audio-sou...pter-p-275.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110451-which-usb-sound-adapter/#findComment-1220682 Share on other sites
Zaap
Would something like this work: http://www.color-cubes.com/sound-audio-sou...pter-p-275.html Probably. It lists Mac-compatibility. I know for certain this one works great- as I use it with one of my hacks. All of the USB sound sticks I've used are simply plug-and-play- no drivers needed in any OS. noNix
If you are looking for audiophile quality this Behringer is highly regarded, and although more expensive than the unit Zaap recomends I doubt it will break the bank. It all depends what you are looking for and how picky your ears are.
