Hey guys, I'm new here, but I successfully installed 10.4.3 on my computer which is:

AMD 3000+ Venice

ASUS A8V-SE Board

1GB RAM

250GB IDE HD

Radeon X600 PCI-e (QE + CI out of the box!!!)

It's all working pretty nicely except the dvd player and itunes, and my LAN. I read on this forum that you need the IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.4.4 to get my Marvell Yukon Lan controller to work. I haven't been able to find this file anywhere, would someone PLEASE kindly PM it to me, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm gonna run xbench soon and post the results here. Thanks

To pass that file on to anyone else is illegal becuase it's a Copyrighted Apple file. No one will pass it over PM to you becuase that would break the forum rules...? (I think).

Hi Eugene,

I am running an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard which has onboard Marvell Yukon Gigabit as well as NVidia NForce4 Gigabit. I was able to successfully get the Marvell Yukon detected and connected after I upgraded from 10.4.3 to 10.4.5 last night. I too tried looking for the kext but was unsuccessful. Get the 10.4.4/5 Prepatched Install DVD and do an upgrade. It can be found at the usual places. Mine worked right away after upgrading but depending on which one you have you may have to put your NIC's hardware ID in the kext. OS X is nothing without the internet. But then again, XP is nothing without the internet. Life just isn't worth living without the internet. lol. In all seriousness, just get that install dvd and be done with it.
