As you can guess, some kind of odd corrupted file keeps showing up in my trash. If i hit "empty trash" it stays in there, but if i drag it out of the trash to the desktop (or any other folder) it just disappears. If i get rid of it, it pops up again as soon as i delete something. Heres what it looks like:

Try

sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

in Terminal. You'll need your root password.

A valiant effort, but the stupid file is still there. I erased the .Trashes folder in the root of the drive too (although it made me a tad nervous, but there was nothing in it anyway. I hate erasing things in the root of the drive, lol) but it didnt help.
