NoSmokingBandit
As you can guess, some kind of odd corrupted file keeps showing up in my trash. If i hit "empty trash" it stays in there, but if i drag it out of the trash to the desktop (or any other folder) it just disappears. If i get rid of it, it pops up again as soon as i delete something. Heres what it looks like: Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

You'll need your root password.
NoSmokingBandit
A valiant effort, but the stupid file is still there. I erased the .Trashes folder in the root of the drive too (although it made me a tad nervous, but there was nothing in it anyway. I hate erasing things in the root of the drive, lol) but it didnt help.
vaporATX
Boot into single user mode and run "fsck -f" Restart and run the previously mentioned "sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*"
NoSmokingBandit
^^ Did that and the file keeps popping up. I really dont mind it, but it makes me think it might be a bigger problem causing it.
