homerguy
Could someone please help me I've been trying to install Mac OS X for days! I've tried iATOKAS, Leo4All, JaS, Zephyr, and the latest being Kalyway. The thing is I can get Kalyway to boot up and get to the installer but none of my hard drives are detected. The cd drive and my usb drive are detected but not my two SATA's and IDE hard drives. I've tried everything -v, -s, -x, -F but to no avail. If any of you guys out their know a solution to this please help me, my specs are below. AMD Athlon 3200+ (Socket 939) 2gb of ram Gigabyte k8u-939 Nvidia 6800 GT/XT 320 GB Seagate SATA Drive 80 GB Western SATA Drive 80 GB Western IDE Hard Drive DVD Drive Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109780-kalyway-1052-hard-drives-not-detected/ Share on other sites
Gujal
That Motherboard uses ULi M1689 Chipset which is not supported by OSX. I dont think you can install OSX on that motherboard. Hopefully I am wrong Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109780-kalyway-1052-hard-drives-not-detected/#findComment-779010 Share on other sites
Hill Beast
If it's not detecting any drives, but it is via usb, then it would be an incompatibility with the motherboard. Not sure on why the CD-ROM keeps going but I guess that's something to do with RAM drives or whatever the Mac OS X equivalent is. If you don't want to get a new motherboard, then try installing an IDE or SATA card and plug your drives into that. That might work. Or try install to a USB drive but I'm not sure if that works. KiTzBiTz
Try to change in the BIOS ..the way your HD is being detected..as example is..SATA drives detected as IDE @ AHCI ..try using IDE ..it might helps...I did like that on my Acer 4315...it comes with 2 option...when I choose AHCI..it will not seen in my LEO nor windows...but when I change to IDE..wallaah.. If you got confuse..try to get me your BIOS screenshot..at every page..upload it somewhere..and inform me..I'll go through and determine your setting for your BIOS..ok..
