Al X And Er
Hey Everyone! Just as a general question, What free CMS software do you think is the best? What CMS software do you use? When it comes to CMS for me, I love Joomla1.5 What about you? Suhail
I personally go for Wordpress. Now you may all sigh and complain that Wordpress is not a Proper CMS but it definitely acts like one and in my Opinion it's the easiest to use the easiest to theme aswell. So Wordpress FTW! Al X And Er
yeah, i've never really tried the others someone just showed me joomla and i got into it............ although joomla kinda is very hard to use could you say iLife is a 'kind' of CMS? i Mean if you use it's web publishing features, it can be MORE productive than some of those cms's out there......... ~pcwiz
I like both Joomla and WordPress. Joomla is not hard to use once you have everything set up, but I agree that set up can be difficult and may take a long time. WordPress is extremely quick, easy, and efficient, but its not great for a full site. However I run 2 blogs powered by WordPress and they are both working great. I tried Drupal earlier, didn't really suit my tastes but I hear Drupal 6 is better. iLife isn't a CMS at all, it is just a multimedia suite with web publishing features. If anything with web publishing features was a CMS, then Google Picasa2 would be a CMS too Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109598-what-free-cms-software-do-you-usethink-is-the-best/#findComment-777783 Share on other sites

CLiDE FTW!!1
Drupal. Very tedious at first (though version 6 is pretty easy),but it is such a powerful CMS. Want a message board with a shopping cart system, blog, youtube-like video and picture gallery? Sure, no problem, and it can all be managed through one site.
