DeejayEtron
I get kernel panic EVERY time I try to boot up off battery power. AC works fine every time. Anyone else run into this or know how to fix it? sarskild
Hi, don't know if it's exactly the same problem as I had but by adding idlehalt=0 in your boot.plist our just using it at as startup option, could help, as it did help for me... I hope that solves your problem! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109216-kernel-panic-on-battery-boot-up-only/#findComment-774081 Share on other sites
dparada78
I had the same problem with my gateway 3550gz.....tried OS X86 10.5.2 just for fun and it wouldn't boot on battery power either...i never found a fix.....on AC power it was fine, then i could disconnect it and run on battery power....i think its either the speedstep built in to my laptop, which I cant turn off in the bios and is very limited. I tried all the kernels on the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD... it must have something to do with power states... mschilling
Same here: always on the old Dell D600, and occasionally on my Gateway, although it's fine when rebooted again.
