Petespace
Hi all, I've been having trouble with Time Machine, but it not a common problem. I fixed the "fail to locate drive' drive problem, but I still have the TM graphics problems. When I click on the TM icon on my dock, the background doesnt go up, to view the time machine background. It kinda laggs, then I just see a window in the middle of the screen. THen i need to click ESC to get out of it. Here is what I see when i press the TM icon Sorry for the bad quality xD THank all in advance!! Petespace
I have a Gigabyte GeForce 7600GS I don't think its the Graphics card because TM works with iATKOS DVD, but doesn't work with Kalyway DVD! Oh i wish there a simple solution =_='' Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108370-time-machine-graphics-seem-to-fail/#findComment-768981 Share on other sites
Tim Smart
Did you install NVInject or simular fix on installation? If not search for NVInstaller 4.1 and try using that to fix your problem Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108370-time-machine-graphics-seem-to-fail/#findComment-769320 Share on other sites
starchild2012
I'm having the exact same issue. How to fix please? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108370-time-machine-graphics-seem-to-fail/#findComment-1074267 Share on other sites
MisaMilosevic
Reinstalling the graphic card driver should solve the problem. I've experienced this after updating to 10.5.6. Although the updated system was full of kinks, I ran it for several days and after fixing the TM not being able to connect to the network drive, I also deleted all graphic drivers from Extensions folder and re-installed them so the WOW animation was working again. jason Sims
I have the same issue, the only (semi) solution I have found is to tap the power button and then "erase" the normal screen with the new window that pops up. After you get it cleared out of the way you can just hit cancel. Hopefully there is a better fix.
