Dog_Paddle
I can get other bit torrent clients to work, but Bits on Wheels appeared to have the best features for me. So I downloaded. After a week of using it.. well.. just look at the post I submitted to their forum (warning: vulgar language, I dont know the rules of cussing on this forum) So if anyone happens to come across the client.. stay far far away. pissed_2.tiff Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10786-dont-get-bits-on-wheels/ Share on other sites
jfn
What partition type were you downloading that 6gig file to? And if other bittorrent clients don't work, maybe the same kind of problem is plaguing Bits on Wheels for you. Since Transmission and Tomato both run great on my 8f1099 installation, it seems strange that they don't work for you. If BOW is the only one that works at all, sounds like it's better than the others and doesn't deserve that kind of thrashing. Dog_Paddle
Yeah, I finally found Domino's Azerues, works fine. Although I prefer Transmission, it takes up a whole lot less space. 2 torrents going at 79Kbps was only 15 mb real memory. Azerues takes up 40 megs from just a cold start. Yes azureus may be a biggie, but imho the only client thats worth to use. You can use tomato torrent for mac, too, but I don't know if it even supports trackerless actions. The smallest client with just a few kb in size, (125 or so), one of the best, supporting it all, would be http://utorrent.com/ but the guys did not arrived in the 21st century yet and are using some proprietary OS called... Windows XG or XP or something like that. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10786-dont-get-bits-on-wheels/#findComment-68825 Share on other sites
