tzp2
I recently replaced my Intel 2200 b/g wireless card in my Inspiron 9300 with a Dell Truemobile 1450 which I heard runs natively in OSX. My only problem is that I'm not sure how to make my system recognize the card. If anyone could point me to some instructions or a how to on making my computer recognize the card I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Edit: For a little more detail. I am running 10.5.2 Kalyway Install. And the only thing that I have done so far is physically install the card in the laptop. I was hoping that I could simply install the card in the computer and it would be detected but it wasn't. tzp2
I made a mistake posting in the Post Installation forum. I have found the most help looking at this topic in the Hardware -> Lan and Wireless Sub Forum. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=51725 It is some code that is supposed to make a Dell 1450, aka a Broadcom 4324, work in OSx86. So far I have had little luck with it but it seems to have helped a great many people. Guest BuildSmart
The problem with the cards are the subsystem ID's are selecting the wrong driver and failing to load it, I've re-ID'd a card and it appears to work. fayze
yeah i noticed that. it says 4309 on the chip but shows up as 4324 in windows and mac. you mean with your "pay me money method", or something else? although if the card doesnt let the laptop sleep & reawaken its not really much use to me. if you have a method that i can do myself i would greatly appreciate it.
