Headrush69
Now i saw some xbench results of ohter people using the 8800gt and they seem to have much better results in the quartz graphics tests Any help/ideas/suggestions are more than welcome!! Ignore them, they're useless synthetic benchmarks. If you notice a problem in real-world use, (games, UI performance), then worry about looking into issues. Templeton Peck
Not only is Xbench a synthetic benchmark, it's actually the least relevant synthetic benchmark tool I have ever seen. At best Xbench results exhibit a weak correlation with reality; in most cases (especially graphics) there seems to be no correlation whatsoever. The only thing you need to worry about is whether you have Quartz Extreme and Core Image enabled (go to system profiler, under graphics/displays). If you've got that, you're good to go. IGNORE Xbench!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/107733-why-do-my-xbench-results-suck-so-badly/#findComment-769626 Share on other sites
