Synthology Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Greetings all, I recently updated to 10.5.3 with Netkas method and script to eliminate the appleintelcpupowermanagement. I got AHCI and full graphics with XFX GeForce 7600 GT 256MB and GFX strings (see Sig below). So Far Logic Pro 8.0.2 functions quite a bit better than before when both OSX and Logic are updated. I also got a BadAxe 1 fully working in IDE mode (haven't tested AHCI) and full graphics with GFX strings for an XFX GeForce 8800GT 512 MB. On both systems, I only replaced the AppleSMBIOS before restarting (again, Netkas method). The only thing I repatched was audio on both, using Taruga's own 1.20 Patcher and corresponding linux audio codec dump (via ubuntu). Both systems are EFI V8 and GUID partition table. So far, both are running smooth and easy. Quite a painless update, but ONLY is you follow netkas method down to the final letter. Just make sure you're not sleepy or distracted and you'll be on your way, 10.5.3 style.
