jpschoute Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Hi, i downloaded the Jas-version of 10.4.3 So i have it up and running now. And it's very smooth. BUT i got a question. I have a SSE3 enabled processor, the version i have... is it emulating SSE3 so i have nog the full speed i would have if i had a full SSE3 kernel ? install ? can anyone help me ? jbjonas Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 The JaS patch puts a folder in your root called Patches. It has the original mach_kernel and other stuff. You can replace your kernel if you want to get rid of the patch. For the most part, however, I have been told that the patch won't emulate SSE3 if it sees that you actually have real SSE3. You can run the maxxuss_sse tool that is also in your root directory to see the difference in performance with the patch. Hope that helps. But how can i determan the osx is running full SSE3 and nog emulated ? perhaps someone with the same iso knows !?
