iNic
I bought an iMac Core Duo 2Ghz, 2GB. So I have a legal Tiger license. I just removed Tiger 10.4.4 from the iMac. Voila! I need to repartition anyway. So now I have a Tiger license to "play with" for a few hours, before I reinstall it on the REAL Mac, which btw IS AWESOME!! Also got a Sony Vaio FS Core Duo 1.83Ghz, 1GB that needs to be repartitioned. here is my question: Is there a way I can install "my" 10.4.4 on the Vaio, without having to go find a 10.4.3...? Please send help or links that apply to this case. I do not want to take the 10.4.3 8f1111a torrent way... Lkr
"your" version will not work. You must have a modified version I'm afraid. iNic
Could you please be more explicit? what kind of "modifications"? can I modify the 10.4.4? or any attempt must go through a leaked and illegal image? hmmm, wish there was a way to see just for a minute my Vaio running Tiger and my iMac running XP... :-) got that? an os swap! ohh that'd be hilariously fun! 9the second part is for another forum section, I know ;-) thanks for posting a reply nonetheless Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10671-can-i-install-from-1044-install-dvd-without-1043/#findComment-66864 Share on other sites
ampTK
You can make an image of the DVD and modify it, (so you don't have to download any thing) you can do all the work from your iMac (aka don't install 10.4.3 on the Vaio), but you will need to connect the HD from the Vaio to the imac, via some USB adaptor or opening your iMac (you better go with the USB) (you may need some 10.4.3 kexts) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10671-can-i-install-from-1044-install-dvd-without-1043/#findComment-66871 Share on other sites

iNic
Oh My Lord! you send me a link to a spanish manual... ;-) I speak italian and french, but as much as italian and spanish might seem similar.. they aren't! Summary: - I should first learn spanish... - or I should desist... - or some of you will be so kind to explain in english what I shall do This is turning into some fun!! from the little spanish that I could grab, the document seem to refer to an existing and working 10.4.3 installation, btw, wguch is not what I want I do want to keep it within the EULA rules. I removed the OS from my iMac, poor baby, and I'm writing from my Powerbook G4 (didn't i tell you that I've got another mac? :-) As for the Vaio, it's ready to be sacrificed...
