Ezrem
In Windows, I had the option to compress folder contents to save disk space. This works great on large folders of text, since the files will compress a great deal, I could store 160 gigs of text in about 20 gigs of physical disk. I can't find an option like this anywhere. I can create a zip file, but a 20 gig zip file is more than a little ridiculous. I thought about .dmg files, but I'm not sure if they're compressed, and I don't think they can resize on the fly to the exact data size anyway? What is the best way to go about storing data like this? Berzerker
When you choose (in disk utility) File > New... > Disk Image from folder, you have the option of making it a "compressed" dmg, not sure the compression ratio on it, however.
