extremeae Posted May 23, 2008 Share Posted May 23, 2008 I was searching for ways to fix the shutdown problem on my HP DV6500T laptop. I stumbled across an Italian post which has a fixed for the shutdown problem. I can confirmed that the fix works, and now my laptop shutdown correctly. Just need to install the right AppleHDA! The shutdown feature didn't work for me, so I tried 3 different AppleHDA for ALC268 and now it works (without the shutdown fix)! So, try this method... Btw, some audio cards have auto-sensing option -> it means that when you insert the jack of your Headphones, it should mute the speakers and let the audio play on your headphones. MadTux_ALC268 MadTux_ALC268_A ALC268 with autosensing All you need to do is to install the new AppleHDA.kext and the provided HDAEnabler.kext with kexthelper.
