Its a Q6600 its still running @ 2.4 is just cosmeticly changed.You may have notice I removed 1GB memory stick recently. Not really everything works fine booting, its just I randomly get the startup disk when I look at About this MAC. Really wierd, because if I have something on my CD even without the pendrive, the Startup Disk Shows as well. It's true, Startup Disk shows up when I have a USB storage device plugged in, such as, iPod, USB key. Startup Disk also shows up when a DVD drive is installed! OP, do you have a DVD drive installed? If the system thinks there are multiple boot devices available, About this Mac will show the current startup disk.
