Blue-K
Hi everybody. I am with my nerves at the end...Why? I made many attempts to install Leopard 10.5.2 on my External 80GB LaCie Mobile Disk. Kalway stopps and freezes during install, iATKOS too and the Codes in Terminal doesn't work, so i tried Leo4all and voilà it "works"....not really. There are two problems... 1) The Laptop shut down after a time. Bam, black screen. I tried to boot my Laptop with cpus=1, but this doesn't work. Is it my external HD or my Motherboard or soemthing different and how can i fix that? 2) My CD-Drive doesn't work. When i put in the Microsoft Office CD, iLife08 CD or a Music CD, nothing happens. So, can you please fix the Shutdowns and my Drive? many Thanks in advance! iSkylla
I know exactly what's happening but I'm not going to tell you. Just kidding, it's your motherboard, you need to boot with cpus=1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106149-pleaseproblem-still-not-solved/#findComment-754348 Share on other sites

.:Eagle:.
You can verify your MD5 to know if your iso is clean or not !! For your 1minute bug, verify if : You select MBR disk and no GUID !! You can fix boot too front install with terminal : fdisk -e/dev/rdiskX update f Y w y q With X your disk number and Y your partition number To know : diskutil list (in terminal) And your boot is fixed you can start install and your install will be clean !! Enjoy !! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106149-pleaseproblem-still-not-solved/#findComment-755111 Share on other sites
Blue-K
First: I choose Master Boot Record and not GUID. I also downloaded 6 MD5-Programms, but not one worked... . Now to the Code from you. I found the disk and Partition number in Disk Utility. I tipe in that what you say, but when I type in "update", an error message comes. Have I done it right?
