Booshi
Hi all, Just installed iAtkos v2.0i or whatever it's called and everything installs fine, apparently bootloader and all, but when I restart, the Darwin Bootloader doesn't show... OS X 10.5.2 is the only OS installed on my machine, and it'll only boot up when I boot with the install DVD... How do I set the current partition as active from within OS X? {without using XP and Diskpart} Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105436-how-do-i-set-my-current-os-x-partition-as-active/ Share on other sites
jivhg
Yea, 2.0 does that automatically. You should have to do it. Probably because you have not installed on a primary partition. If you have the patience, I am not expirienced with setting primary partitions, but the only way I know, is to do a system restore from that disk most comps come with, THEN format the partition to Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105436-how-do-i-set-my-current-os-x-partition-as-active/#findComment-750047 Share on other sites
mrbonkers
go to terminal, type: 1) fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX (where X is it drive) 2) u 3) f Y (where Y is the partition) 3) w 4) y (only when it ask "A reboot will be needed for changes to take effect. OK?") 5) q to check for X and Y, go to disk utility and right click on the drive then information Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105436-how-do-i-set-my-current-os-x-partition-as-active/#findComment-750203 Share on other sites
