Ninja483
Okay i almost perfectly installed Leopard 10.5.2 on my PC. only thing not working is time machine, but thats not the problem. You see instead of maving the nice white screen with the spinning circle. i have to look at nasty boot codes when i turn on my comp. Is there anyways i can change this. I am running Leo4all v2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105389-change-boot-screen/ Share on other sites
mrbonkers
go to library>preferences>systemconfiguration and modify com.apple.boot.plist. under kernel flags, type in -v <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v</string> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105389-change-boot-screen/#findComment-750197 Share on other sites
knewsom
I think what they MEANT was to DELETE the -v inbetween the string tags. I just recently did this and it worked like a charm. you may also want to add in there the resolution your monitor runs at, as the following: <string>"Graphics Mode"="1680x1050x32"</string> that way the apple will look right. Gujal
Same boot.plist file has a "Timeout" key and a string value. Drop the value down or get rid of both key and string Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105389-change-boot-screen/#findComment-752267 Share on other sites

Note that you can't change the value to 0. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105389-change-boot-screen/#findComment-752300 Share on other sites
knewsom
though if you cut it out, you may want to make a backup copy of the file before you do so, so that if you decide you want to multiboot at some point in the future, you can.
