Hi,

I'm totally new to this site, and I'm not a programmer/developer/etc. I'm a graphic designer who would like to buy a good TabletPC/Wacom Penabled, and run the usual Adobe graphic programs (Photoshop. Illustrator, Flash) on Mac OSX. At this point, is it realistic?? Is it a big deal for a newbie like me?? And, as I paraphrase the topics: What Laptop/TabletPC would be less trouble???

Many thanks!

I guess we must make our own research :-P my question is certainly really accute... The best TabletPC for designer in not necessarily the best "Hackintoshable"...

Thanks a lot!

if you are serious with what you said, on your first post, you are asking a macbook, or macbook pro... if you are asking hackintosh, there is no such thing as everything works out of the box having all the drivers and/or painless install... all depending on the degree of willingness and time you can spare for reading around abit... the rest is not very hard, however, it also depends on your ability to understand basic stuffs, and apply guides to the problem...

if you want total zero pain, go to apple store...

if you want hackintosh read the HCLs in wiki...

Just FYI, look through the 10.5.1 and 10.4.8 Wiki's, they are far more comprehensive.

Many Intel-based Laptops work really well, it just depends on the particular chipsets whether sound, ethernet, and the other thingies are working. For example, the Dell Vostro and XPS range have found great success on this forum, and Macgirl has written a great guide for them.
