Hello,

I'm cleaning up several years of Digital Pictures and need an application to Rotate some of them as they were taken with the camera on it's side. I've Tried using Preview but it seems to be messing up the Icons as they do not show rotated. I've also tries Justlooking and Xee but don't like them either. I tried AcdSee Classic because it was what I used on my Old Windows Machine but it just wasn't the same.

Can Anyone recomend a good application to browse Directories of Pictures and rotate them as necessary?

Thanks

If you have an Adobe Suite just use Bridge. It's doing a great job. iPhoto was also my first suggestion but if you have tons and tons of pictures, it will get kind of messy. Maybe you can try a Photoshop Action too. This could come in handy if you don't have that much time/pictures and if they all have the same aspect ratio or resolution ect. It could be a bit tricky for PS to figure out which picture to rotate how, but I think its possible and you can give it a try.

Thank you all for your replies. I tried Preview but it is messing up the Thumnails in Viewer (the Picture is rotated but the thumbnail is not :( ). As for the other suggestions I thank you as well but I have issues with any software that wants to catalog / import all my images as I have about 80GB of digital camera pics that are already sorted into directories.

Anyway I have found a little program called Rapidoresizer that is rotating the pics just fine and also does a nice job of resizing them.

I could alway use Photoshop once it's installed but it seems to me like that would be like using a sledge hammer to drive finishing nails.

:)
