gimox
Hi Eddi11 the creator of leo4all distro ask if anyone has a driver to include in the next upgraded ppf. So i'd like l3o4all but i have some problem with my 915gm intel graphics, reading in the forum i read that someone has the magic key to get working this card so... if the people that do it can upload the kext we can send to eddi11 for add in the distro. I think it'a a better way!!!!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104654-intel-gma-900915gm-driver-for-leopard/ Share on other sites
Hagar
from all my reading (I have a 915g & a 915gm) there is no working solution to these graphics chips on leopard. the best seems to be a trick that makes the system think it has qe/ci but gives no performance improvement. My solution was to put an nvidia card in the 915g & run tiger on the 915gm. Unless someone has an undisclosed trick, this chipset is without a future. gimox
you are wrong.... search in the forum. The gma 900/915 it's used by apple in the first development version of osx and the driver used in 10.4.11 or other tiger version use this kext. So someone use this kext with leopard and it work bith qe and a strange ci. So ci don't work but i just somethink. please post the kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104654-intel-gma-900915gm-driver-for-leopard/#findComment-747306 Share on other sites
Krazubu
It was used almost 3 years ago in transition kits, that's all. Now, GMA 900 isn't supported, and for your information, it's not new, it was not supported anymore by versions later to 10.4.7 and required using old kexts and OpenGL framework. This is not possible anymore under Leopard because the Tiger kext by itself works, but isn't compatible with leo's openGL. Using Tiger's OpenGL with Leo isn't possible => end of the story. Kramark
I'm using a 10.4.11 tiger but you still need to put a clip trick to load it otherwise it will only show a blue screen.. If only there is a driver that could fully used the 128mb of the videocard to make it work without any trick.. fairaghi
Hi all, I'm running Leo4all v2 on my HP NC6220 with a GMA 915. The card works out of the box, but without QE support. I attached the profiler screen. Does anyone how to enable QE ? Thanks. macgirl
Yeah sure, I have some old Intel and SIS graphics cards that work on Tiger and Leopard, without QE/CI of course. Even some Nvidia cards with shared memory work on Leopard, without QE/CI of course. Even more some Nvidia 9600 cards work on Leopard, without QE/CI of course. sheesh, we are talking about DRIVERS here that give QE/CI. Shkapa
Come on fairaghi, you're joking, aren't you ? First I tried to use HP530 but had problems with microphone (I need it for Skype), so i took old Acer 2410 and install Leo4all v.3. I didn't select any video and Leo is working. QE doesn't work.
