Hi guys, I have Windows Vista install in my C: and I want to create a new partition out from that C:, is that possible without reformatting my laptop? Thanks.

Yes, Acronis I think can resize to free up some space and so can Partition Magic but I've never used them on Vista.

Windows Vista now comes with the ability to resize your partition using Windows Disk Management! Though, there are some issues on how much space you can actually shrink because of page files and so on. Just right click on My Computer and click Manage, then select Disk Management on the left panel. Right click on the volume you want to shrink and you should see Shrink Volume...

No Poli, Windows Disk Management is actually quite save. Worry not since you're just making a new partition. But be careful if you're installing another OS on the new partition. And as long as you're running from Windows Vista, it's not stupid enough to wipe out itself! :)
