influence
I'm just curious who has successfully put together a fast strong mobo/processor combination set up. I'm planning to order the GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 and Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 but would like to know if there are any steps higher than this that would be reliable to work with? The higher quad cores? Or Xeons 8 cores? Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Mobos as well please. Thank you. knewsom
I'm pretty sure all the cpu's from Intel work. I think the trick is finding a compatable mobo that's decent and interfaces with them. BebopBlues
Not sure how updated it is, but maybe look at the wiki under Hardware: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103992-whats-the-fastest-compatible-moboprocessor-combo-to-date/#findComment-740633 Share on other sites
