  1. Does that mean that I have to use an install disc that already has an AMD kernel patch? If yes, which release includes AMD kernel?
  2. I have the same problem with Vmware Workstation 8, I get that same CPU error. I have an AMD FX8120. Someone please shine some light on what is causing this CPU fault error.
  3. Does QE/CI work in virtualbox?
  4. I'm using VMware 7 on on Win7 64bit. I have SL 10.6.6 running as guest. Is there a link for the VMware Tools installer from Vmware Fusion? I can't install the "guest_patches" because it says it requires VMware Tools. EDIT: nevermind, found it in the vmware fusion installer, darwin.iso
  5. GA-G33M-DS2R + iATKOS S3 V2 = SUCCESS!

LOL, spoke too soon. Sleep isn't working, just like with the iDeneb install disk I tried a while back. Anyone know why sleep isn't working? EDIT: So I just checked mark "Start up automatically after a power failure" in System Prefs / Energy Saver and sleeps now works. I have to use the power button to wake the machine. Is there a way to get it to wake with the keyboard or mouse?
  6. I've abandoned my hackintosh quest after running Windows 7 RC and then switched over to Win7 ever since. Win7 is pretty damn good, so I never had the urge to try install OSX again. The other factor is that I bought Macbook Pro a couple of years ago to satisfy my OSX appetite. But after hearing some good stuff about the new iATKOS S3 v2, I decided to format my old OSX drive and give it a shot. After about 30 minutes of install, it seems to install perfectly. Everything seems to work. I didn't have to patch anything or update any kext. Excellent job iATKOS team!
  7. The first Mac you ever used.

I've used the first macintosh and every mac ever made since, mostly through school and people I knew that have macs. But I never own a mac until a couple of years ago. I've been a PC guy for the most part. I actually own a hackintosh before splurging on a late 2008 model 15" Macbook Pro, my first real mac. Since then, I've also own an iPhone. Since Win7 came out, I actually abandoned the hackintosh desktop. I use Win7 exclusively on my desktop PC and been pretty happy with it. I don't miss my hackintosh one bit. On the other hand, I still haven't found an equivalent PC laptop that is as good as the Macbook Pro. The main features I care about is not power or price, but features that are just unique to the Mac. Things like multi-touch trackpad, which I haven't seen one other PC laptop that does multi-touch as well as Apple did. Another is the back lit keyboard, not many PC laptop has this feature. And then there's the magnetic power adapter, it really saved my MBP from damages many times. The only drawback of the MBP is that it gets quite hot during intense use, but it doesn't happen that often.
  8. ideneb 1.4 doesn't wake up from sleep

Didn't want to start a new thread so I replied to this one. When iDeneb 1.4 goes to sleep, it just turns off the computer it seems. When I wake it with the mouse, it boots up like a normal bootup, it doesn't wake. What is causing it not to sleep properly? If I can get it to sleep and wake properly, iDeneb 1.4 will work perfectly. Please help, thanks.
  9. PS2 Mouse and Keyboard not working

I installed the PS2FixKeyboard and it worked. Many thanks.
  10. PS2 Mouse and Keyboard not working

Thanks, that got the PS2 mouse working but PS2 keyboard is still not working. Any other kext to try?
  11. Just installed iDeneb 1.4 and everything is working except for the PS2 Mouse and keyboard. I plugged a USB mouse and keyboard to use temporary, I like to get the PS2 ones to work however. I searched the forum and found a few kexts related to the PS2 but none of them worked. I tried several compiled ApplePS2Controller.kext and ACPIPS2Nub.kext, neither made a difference. I used kext helper to install them. My system spec is in the signature. Anyone have any idea how I can get the PS2 mouse and keyboard to work? thanks for any help.
  12. Not everyone has the technical knowledge to build a computer and install/configure OSx86. As for being sue, sue by who? Apple? I highly doubt Apple is going after a consumer.
  13. iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 Released!

Sleep ain't working, is there a kext in iDeneb to fix this ?
  14. iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 Released!

I'm having same problem as with iPC 10.5.6, when I try to mount a DMG, I get kernel panic. I do have the seatbelt kext installed, should I remove that? Edit: nevermind, I fixed it by installing the seatbelt 6 kext from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=150871 This is the best release yet, besides the little hiccup above, everything installed and working. Audio works, Lan works, and Video CI/Qtz works out of the box. Awesome release, many thanks for all those involved in this release. Time to update my sig.
  15. Can't mount .dmg files or open .pkg files? Help

I'm having the same issue with iPC 10.5.6 install. When I open a dmg file, I get a kernel panic. I checked the kernel version and it says: I checked the System.kext and it says: The version numbers are matching so I'm not sure what could be the problem, help please.
