Dog_Paddle
I was looking at the 10.4.4 compatible list, and saw that my soundcard was supported. It said only after copying the AppleAC97Audio.kext from Darwin. Where would I be able to get that file? And would it work in 10.4.3? R. Bear Helms
I can say only maybe. I got the file myself and tried it, still wasn't any help. Darwin is an open source project, but basically direct links are not appreciated. I can however link to a site where you can learn about it and find an install disc to download. Then under OS X or with Transmac, you can examine the directory structure of the install disc, and copy out the extension(s) you want. http://www.opendarwin.org/ (look for Darwin 8.0.1) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10173-intel-audio/#findComment-63584 Share on other sites
Dog_Paddle
Thanks, I'm DLing it right now, although last time I tried to replace a .kext I really borked up my Bios and Mac partition. Edit: Wow, 40 minute download.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10173-intel-audio/#findComment-63609 Share on other sites
