CUBApete
Hi, I'm new here and I just had a question: I have read most of the guides on the Wiki, and I was wondering what the best method of installing OSX would be for me. I have an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ with a gig of ram. I just got this computer, so I would like to not destroy it and not have to install anything (like another hard drive). If anyone could help me out, that would be great. Thanks a lot for the help, I know all the OSX86 vets must put up with noob questions all the time, but I would love the help. Thanks! rohde
The easiest is the Nolan guide at 360hacker.net (IMO), here: http://www.360hacker.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=237. Be sure to make a second partition on your haddrive to use before following the guide, for instance by using Partition Magic. Then, by following the guide you install OS X on your second partition. Then you follow the speed boost advice here http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/SpeedBoost (especially the one about removing/renaming the file AppleTPMACPI.kext. Then you apply Maxxu's patch: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=832. And then you should be set. Enjoy!
