fontace
Hello, I am using Mac OS 10.5.2 and have a problem when sending Office documents to a Windows user: all the documents extensions are renamed by Apple Mail. For example, I attach a ".XLS" and, once the mail arrives into the Outlook mailbox, there are two attachments: one empty ".TXT" file and the document but with the extension ".XLSS". The document can be opened normally when renamed as ".XLS". What's wrong with Apple Mail??? It does it also for ".PDF" which arrive as ".PDFF"... westwaerts
there is an option, when sending attchments "windows compatible" did you check this ?
fontace
Yes, the option is checked by default. But I have found an Apple Discussion about this problem. It seems to be related to the presence of accentuated characters in the name of the attachment. That was my case, so I'll give a try with the same file without these characters...
