gendem
I have a system set up here, running a (according to the BIOS) 3.17GHz, and the ram is at 1066MHz. Yet the system profiler is reporting a 3GHz CPU and 800MHz RAM. Is this a driver issue, or is it just that the system profiler can't properly inventory the system? Oh, this is 10.5.2, as installed via this method. ...Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100775-my-1066mhz-ram-shows-up-as-800mhz-why/ Share on other sites

strangedaze
It reports 800mhz but wont affect the actual running speed if I remember correctly. I wouldn't worry about it I'm 95% sure it's a glitch. -SD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100775-my-1066mhz-ram-shows-up-as-800mhz-why/#findComment-719694 Share on other sites

gendem
Thanks fassl It looks like that is just a label fix. What I'm wondering is if the Ram/CPU speed is being dis-detected, or if the OS is throttling stuff back (if that's even possible). ...Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100775-my-1066mhz-ram-shows-up-as-800mhz-why/#findComment-719713 Share on other sites
