Hi folks my 24 Imac has a ticking sound and a folder with question mark icon during startup, if I get lucky the osx start if i am not lucky it does not work and makes me ticking sound every10 seconds (guess trying to spin the disc). I think this is HD problem, anyway....

I would like to hide my folders and files from the service guys...I have created and administrator account...but I think they can acccess my folders, also if they enter admin pass for many times the mac os x lets them choose a new password without giving access to keychain so I would really appreciate any feedback...

Thanks

Just put it on an external drive or burn it to a disc and wipe it off the hdd. No need to do a 47 pass wipe or anything, they're not going to be looking for stuff to incriminate you with.

Rant of the Week:

I don't understand this, why don't people use apostropes? Why don't people capitalize what needs to be capitalized? Why don't people use the proper punctuation? It's not that hard, you went to school now use it!

Like it, but "you went to school" should be a separate sentence with a comma after school. ;-)
