Slice
I don't know about your chipsets configurations. There are different cases. For example I have SoundMax in WindowsXP. In MacOSX I have ATIIXP chipset with own driver and codec chip AD1988 with other driver. They works only together!!! So don't speak "I need driver for SoundMax"! You need two drivers depending on your hardware configuration. 1. Find your chipset. Install driver. 2. Find your codec. Install driver. chinmay007
Good news for all ASUS P5K series MOBOs, (with audio codec id AD1988b : check on the site http://wiki.taruga.net/ ), the new Taruga_AD1988b_rev3_Installer works. microphone and audio-out working. but i had to reinstall the nvinject for my GT 8600 along with the new kernels ( comes in the package of nvinject_41). and all is working well now including sleep, restart, and shut down.
