I'm no wiz at kernals but my pc used to do the same until I downloaded the latest kernal with sleep form Netkas. Maybe try it and go back if it doesn't work. btw I'm running Kalyways 10.5.1. reery Posted April 22, 2008 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I had the same issue, here is maybe the fix: Load up your BIOS and change "ACPI Suspend Type" to S3 (default). I read in a guide that you should turn ACPI to S1 but this is nonsense and sleep-mode will work better with S3. On my system (it's close to yours) sleep mode works very well with S3 and with S1 enabled it only shuts the harddisks down. Boot Camp Posted April 22, 2008 Author Share Posted April 22, 2008 It actually was my Realtek Wifi Utility that was keeping everything but the hard drives on. If I turn that off before I shutdown, everything is fine.
