alepro2
I got everything working under Leopad with the notable exception of any non-universal binary apps. Could it be possible that Rosetta just doesn't work on hackintosh? Anyone got any non UB program to run?
SA22C
MS Office 04 works for me and it runs under Rosetta, so this isn't a Leopard-wide problem. What are your system specs and what installer did you use?
Dainix
Rosetta uses some complex instruction sets, such as SSE3 in Tiger. I wouldn't be surprised if it also used the SSSE3 (intentional) instruction set in Leopard, which is found only in more modern processors. Anything older than a Core 2 Duo has a high risk of not having it.
alepro2
Curious that it works for you guys. I have the latest core 2 duo (an e6750) with a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R motherboard. This setup is running the Leopard flat image (as found on the green daemon), and apart from the Rosetta issues all runs really well. Could someone that is running the flat image confirm that PPC apps such as MS Office are working on their system? Is there any way I can reinstall the Rosetta component without starting from scratch? Thanks HEAPS for you answers!

Nemes
I'm running a Q6600 on a P35-DS3R with an install based on the flat image, and Rosetta runs fine. I'm using Word as I'm typing this. The fact that you can't run it with such similar specs is unusual indeed.

PGHammer
Thanks heaps for the feedback. This is strange indeed!I'll have to puzzle a bit to figure that one out... I've run Word 2004 (non-UB) and am running Word 2008 beta now (UB) and I have a mere P4 2.6C (Northwood, not Prescott); that alone tells me that Rosetta is working just fine.
