i have gigabyte 965P DS3 mobo. installed this update on JaS 10.4.8 sse2+sse3 (well known distro). everything worked ok, just need to re-install audiodriver and some mobo specific changes in ionetworkingfamily.kext.

Thank you VERY MUCH, Koolkal!

Tried it on a MAC OS X 10.4.8 JaS with an HP dv1000, Intel Centrino Solo, Intel GMA900 SSE2 laptop, and it kept restarting as soon as i chose OS X at the darwin bootloader :)

PascalW's gives me kernel panic, so right now im stuck with 10.4.8 hehe..

Anybody had success with a similar configuration?

did you choose to install proper kernel 8.9.1 for sse2 in a koolkal installer?

I used the JaS 10.4.8 to do the original install

then updated to 10.4.9 and again to 10.4.10

using the Koolkal updates. Works well. I did find that after the install

of both 10.4.9 and 10.4.10 once it rebooted it go to the grey screen with the

cursor at the bottom just spinning. I let this run for a few minutes and it eventually rebooted

by itself and then booted into OSX without a problem.

10.4.9 seemed to not display the right cpu info as well as the clock being to fast,

but the upgrade to 10.4.10 fixed it all.

I don't have QE/CI support with my Sapphire X1650XT but I have

recently bought a Asus 7900GS and am planning to install it with the hope of

enabling both.

But the Koolkal works excellent for me, just remember to let it reeboot

after you upgrade and if you get the GSOD try letting it run for abit and see if it reboots by itself,

That seemed to work well for me :P
