Acid_Burn
Hi, How can i activate Core Image on iBook G4? (10.4.8)
consolation
You can't, your iBook uses an ATI 9200 chip; the minimum requirement for CI is an ATI 9500. Only the last (2005) iBooks qualify. Edited December 17, 2006 by consolation

macgirl
Not really, I don't miss the CI in my 12" PowerBook, of course the newer has it but for what I use no difference.
A Nonny Moose
I have no problems with not having Core Image either. To me, CI and QE are things that are extras and not necessarily needed.

venspace
Hi mate, Core image will make some application in graphic more faster! But if you don't have it! sg
if your card would support it would be enabled, it requires some specific things from the videocard which is semi recent, older ones just cant do it. http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/coreimage/ at the bottom right you'll see a list of supported video cards. anything close to that or higher will support CI. Tks It won't help in Photoshop because it isn't optimized to use CoreImage (at least not that I know of). Adding more RAM is always the cure for a slow Photoshop on a laptop.
