Charles-T-Munger
Hi Friends, success, my hackintosh works! macOS version: 10.13.1 Hardware: CPU: i5-8600k Gigabyte Z370 HD3 8 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 GPU: UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB Wifi card: TL-WN881ND Drives: SSD: Samsung PRO 850 M.2 SSD: Samsung Pro 830 scratch disk Storage 2 x 3TB RAID 1 Steps for installation taken so far: 1.) Downloaded OS 10.13.1 installer through my work MacBook 2.) Created a USB installer with clover. 3.) Boot from USB intel drive 4.) Partition SSD disk using Disk Utility 5.) Install macOS 6.) Move EFI folder from Install USB to Macintosh HD EFI partition Working: Graphics card (UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB) Ethernet Audio output. Not working, needs further addressing: Microphone input Wi-Fi (my card: TL-WN881ND) Fans are noisy. They seem to run full speed. Maybe somebody can help with the finishing touches, especially regarding Wi-Fi. I tried adding <string>pci168c,2e</string> /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirportAtheros40.kext/Contents using sudo nano info.plist Restart the hack, however still no wifi. Checking the info.plist file, the string is still there. Scratched my head, did some reading, downloaded DPCI Manager PCI list shows Vendor 168C Device 002E Sub Ven 168C Sub Dev 30A4 Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express). I am confused. Should work no? When I repair perms in PDCIManager and then RebuildCache the installation breaks and becomes unbootable, it stops during booting at the apple logo and turns the computer off again. System Information does not show Wi-Fi hardware.

Charles-T-Munger
The devil is in the details. I used kext utility to patch the kext file. That does something with permissions as well and after rebooting, wifi works.Cheers
