Hello.

I need help with some strange issue. I used my home hackintosh for a long time without DVD drive. Disabled it at one moment to free sata connector. Now I need it and when I plug it in, clover won't start. Just underscore cursor stay on screen. What it can be?

I actually got this working by disabling the optical drive as a bootable device in the motherboard's BIOS. (I have an Asus P5K Deluxe).

So now, the boot priority order is just "hard drives", then "removable (USB) device."

In the "hard drives" category, my SSD with Clover on its EFI partition comes first.

Now Clover starts as expected.

I have such settings by default and it doesn't help. I'm also have ASUS (P7P55D-E EVO). I tried to connect DVD-drive to additional Marvell SATA controller that is onboard and it passes Clover, but work very strange in OS X - I don't see it in devices in finder, eject buttons (on drive and on keyboard) won't work. Only see it in "About This Mac" -> "Storage"

I found source of the problem. It's a "CloverEFI 64-bits using Bios Block I/O to access drives" option I choose to connect my main SSD drive to high speed Marvell SATA controller.

If I install Clover with "CloverEFI 64-bits using SATA to access drives" it won't work with Marvell SATA controller, and I need to connect my SSD to SATA2, but my DVD works.

If I install Clover with "CloverEFI 64-bits using Bios Block I/O to access drives" it works with Marvell, but i lose my DVD drive.

This is dilemma :)
