natsu98k
Hello guys! I've ordered new PC parts and they should arrive in 2 or 3 days and I want to check if they're hackintosh-compatible. Here's the list : ●CPU: Intel Xeon 1231V3 ●CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 120V ●GPU: Sapphire HD 5450 (Temporary) ●Motherboard: Asrock H97 Pro4 ●Ram: HYPER Fury 8GB ●PSU: Evga 600b ●Case: NZXT H440 Since the CPU doesn't have the iGPU , I'll be using an HD 5450 from an old build until I can afford a R9 390X or a GTX 980. Gutz-Otoole
The GTX 980 is a Tesla card. The native OS X support for that chip is limited. To get full use of it you will need to install Nvidia's proprietary drivers. Kepler-based cards are cheaper and generally work without tweaking. Be aware that not all Nvidia video cards are alike, and all will work in a hackintosh. Before you buy post a consult the forum with the exact make, model, and specs of the video card. Someone here may have experience with it and can tell you whether it's compatible or not. I use an Ivy Bridge Xeon CPU with no problems.
