MannyBoy101
Hello, I have never sought out to the forums for help because every problem I have faced I have been able to solve, this one however I am completely clueless. I don't know how to enable full 1600x900 resolution on my Dell N7110 with an i3 2310m and Niresh Mavericks. Everything else is working perfectly, except Wifi, I use a separate dongle. I am clueless about dsdt but if someone can try and explain I would greatly appreciate. And every OS X version I install on this laptop I have to use this command: mount -uw /cd /System/Library/Extensionsmkdir IntelBackmv AppleIntelHD* IntelBack/mv AppleIntelSNB* IntelBack/exit I think it might be because of that. I would appreciate any help I get.
PippoX0
Hi, You have to focus on two problems. 1) you have a notebook so you have to patch intel hd3000 kext to change internal vga port. So you get qe/ci enabled = speed and graphics. 2) you have to set 1600x900 screen resolution. This can be accived by using patched DSDT or may be sufficient to have patched hd3000 kext. The first of all you have to do is search here in forum. These problems have just faced and resolved. Look if someone have patched the kext for your Dell notebook ( easy solution download and install) or if you have to do by yourself . To create DSDT and patch it for your Hw , there are a lot of guide, so it's not difficult . You have moved intelHD specific Keys from S/L/E, so OSX cannot recognize your graphics card. You cannot use them as they are without patch them overwise you get black screen. If you need more helps , just ask See ya Pippox0

MannyBoy101
Here it is! I would use Maciasl because it is way better than DSDT Editor but I can't boot Mavericks until I remove those kexts from S/L/E but ill put them back after I apply this DSDT.
