owbp
Until someone with more experience comes to help, I would try it if i were you. Go through this page first and gather .kexts for your hardware http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.10.3/Portables And have ethernet cable ready! Allan
The GTX 860M doesn't work in Hackintosh/OS X. Only HD 4600...

lomonomo
Yes I read different things now. The HD4600 is integrated in my mainboard and a normal part of a macbook, so that way it would probably work. but way more interesting is actually if i could make it work with the nvidia. i see in your appendix that you have a geforce gt650m (which is not too different from mine) and its working. but therefore i need to disable the integrated one. you know how i do that? Allan
If HD4600 can be disabled, then yeah the Nvidia could work But some dedicate graphics (dual-GPU/switchable) is not supported with OS X on Hacks. How we can enable GTX 860M? I want to see a method to enable this video, I became interested.

As I said, if he can actually disable the Intel HD4600, like with Alienware laptops, then we could enable it somehow

This conclusion you have based on the real Macs?

Alienware M17X R5 has Intel HD4600 and Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M, there's an option to disable it in the bios, so the Geforce one works. Don't see why the GTX 860M couldn't work if we can disable the HD4600 here. It's pretty much like those GTX 9xxM
