  1. I successfully installed macOS 10.11.6 and Windows 7 Pro SP1 in UEFI mode on the laptop. I know, there are detailed guides here and on osxlatitude.com but I was not agree with them and carefully check and test every step to tune my Mac. Hardware Intel® Core i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz, speedstep works with Clover default settings Chipset Intel 7 series, no patches needed Video: IntelHD4000 or NVS5200M switchable in BIOS, work in both cases LAN; Intel 82579LM, works with IntelMausiEthernet.kext v2.2.1 Audio: IDT 92HD93BXX, works with VoodooHDA 2.9.0. SDHC reader O2Micro; works with native AppleSDHC.kext with Clover Arbitrary properties. USB3.0 works natively if not disabled in DSDT PS2 keyboard and touchpad works with VoodooPS2. WiFi: Dell Intel WiFi was replaced by Dell DW1520, Broadcom BCM943224HMS. DeviceID=4353 LCD Screen 1366x768 BIOS A12. Initially was A02. Then I flashed A23 and found it is quite bad. The screen is full of artefacts. Flash A12 and all is OK. Not tested other versions. For some reason BIOS can switched from Intel to Nvidia by itself so I have to do my solution working independent on this state. WiFi It is not working OOB although it has DeviceID known to Apple. The reason is WhiteList in the driver. I set MacModel as MacBookPro10,1 while the WiFi will work on MacBookAir. I make a patch in Clover. As well a patch for channels. I deleted a kext Brcm4331 because it has the same DeviceID. Let kext Brcm4360 to work alone. VideoCards In Bios we can set Optimus = Enable/Disable If Enable then we have two videocards Intel first and Nvidia second. In this case additional SSDT-3.aml will switch off Nvidia. If Disable then we have only Nvidia card. It will work if Board-ID taken from iMac13,2. But here there is contradiction with WiFi with required Board-ID from MacBookAir. So I take MacModel as MacBookPro10,1 which is most close by CPU IvyBridge. Set BoardID like iMac13,2 to make Nvidia working. Patch BoardID in Brcm4360 to make WiFi working. Now I have Inject-> ->Intel=YES ->Nvidia=YES and SSDT-3.aml in ACPI\patched folder. This SSDT will switch off Nvidia if Intel card ON. For Intel graphics there is a patch against 8 apples at start. This Nvidia 5200 is Fermi and works in ElCapitan. Brightness No special kexts. The brightness controlled by keys F1,F2 and slider in Control Panel in both case Intel or Nvidia. Details here #72 DSDT and SSDT This is very long story and finally I have working sleep in both cases Intel or Nvidia. Sensors I use my HWSensors3 with FakeSMC 3.5.2. I got monitoring: CPU temperature GPU temperature GPU main frequency GPU shader frequency Battery state % full, time to charged or time to empty. Battery voltage dinamically. Battery amperage dynamically. I can see it changes on heavy games. HDD temperature. Audio I like VoodooHDA and have no problems with it. The sound is clear, loud, and switchable between internal speaker and headphone. Mic is working. Bluetooth Just tested with BTFirmwareUpdate.kext and it works in 10.11.6. I not needed it so switched off by wireless switch at right side. For 10.13.6 there is other kext BRCMInjector. Keyboard, Touchpad and Touchstick Post #14 I made my fork of the VoodooPS2 driver, take here sources and release version https://github.com/SergeySlice/VoodooPS2-for-ALPS My config, ACPI files and kexts are in attachment. 05.12.2017 EFI.7z EDITED: Better DSDT in the post #6. Sleep working even when AC inserted. EDITED 06.12.2018 Now I have HighSierra and this is my EFI folder. Note, HighSierra is possible only with Intel graphics (Optimus is enabled in BIOS) Welcome to discussion! EFI-E6430.7z BRCMInjector.kext.zip
Grazie in anticipo, Giacomo P.S. Le mie specifiche sono: - Modello ASUS N552VW-FI202T - Schermo 3840x2160 - CPU Intel Core i7-6700HQ - RAM 16GB ddr4 2400mHz - Intel HD Graphics 530 + nVidia 960m 4GB (anche funzionasse solo la Intel sarebbe perfetto) - SSD 256GB - HDD 1TB CLOVER.zip

  4. Hello everyone,Greetings from Brazil! I'm running macOS Catalina 10.15.2 on my Lenovo Ideapad 300-15ISK laptop. Everything works smoothly, except decent battery management, so I decided to rebuild my DSDT from scratch, so I can patch it properly. It was a bit messy to start with.I followed Rehabman's guide (to the letter) posted on tonymacx86. However, I keep getting a compile error, no warnings at all, just 'syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_ARG1'. Please refer to attached PNG image and .dsl file.I've searched endlessly for a solution, but can't fix it no matter what I try. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I really appreciate your time and help.Best regards and Happy Holidays! DSDT.dsl
  5. If you have a working Brightness Slider and you might be using Brightness slider or manual hotkeys to control brightness then this guide may help you to use your Native hotkeys of laptop. (All the Credits goes to @RehabMan For OS-X-ACPI-Debug Kext and DSDT Patches.) This step assumes that you are using RehabMan's VoodooPS2Controller or Acidanthera's PS2Controller Install the kext: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-ACPI-Debug Open MaciASL and click on patch.(Add rehab man repo) Apply "Add DSDT Debug Methods" and "Instrument EC Queries" that are under Brightness Fix. Save the DSDT and restart Look in Syslog as you press the key corresponding to brightness to determine which _QXX methods handle the keys (UPDATE: From Sierra Apple changed logging process. So you won't find ACPIdebug result using syslog command. Instead use following command ) log show --last 5 | grep ACPIDebug 6. Then patch DSDT: into method label _Q1D replace_content begin // Brightness Down\n Notify(\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.PS2M, 0x0205)\n Notify(\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.PS2M, 0x0285)\n end; into method label _Q1C replace_content begin // Brightness Up\n Notify(\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.PS2M, 0x0206)\n Notify(\_SB.PCI0.LPCB.PS2M, 0x0286)\n end; Change the variable _Q1D/_Q1C as per the log. 7. Try compiling and check if it generates errors 8. If it does, then change the PS2M to PS2X according to the one found in your DSDT 9. Save and place the compiled DSDT. 10. Now you should see that you have your corresponding keys to change your brightness FOR more detail and Queries,Check Out original Post of @RehabMan Here; http://www.insanelym...18#entry1997112 Get Latest Version of OS-X-ACPI-Debug kext here: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-acpi-debug/downloads

    Wifi DW1820A 94350ZAE Mojave

Hello a few days ago I installed a wireless card to get wifi called: Broadcom DW1820A model: 94350ZAE. Could someone help me to modify my efi folder to let the card work correctly? When I switch on the laptop everything is running ok in verbose mode but when later it appears the Apple logo to finally load everything all the computer get stucked so I can’t do anything (there is only the apple logo and a bar), the only way to use my laptop is disabling the wifi card from bios or using the boot arg: brcmfx_driver=1, and I don’t know why it happens this. I tried to follow/use some guides but I can’t fix it, so I need help from a professional of Hackintoshes… My laptop is a DELL vostro 5568 8 gb ram, i5 7200 2,4GHz, intel hd graphics 620 and the ssd 250gb. Here you can download my efi folder and a IOreg file of my computer If you need more information etc tell me. I only can upload 10mb and my efi folder is 25mb so I'll upload the most important files. Thankyou. MacBook Pro14,1.ioreg efi folder things.zip
  7. Hi, I want to install MacOS Catalina on my laptop. I was installed MacOS Mojave previously but i had a lot of problem, for example my wifi's card (Dell DW1820A) had a problem: My pc sometimes doesn't boot up or pc after some minutes crashed or slowed. Now i want to try again to install macOS. this is my spec: HP 15-AY034NL CPU: i7 6500U with HD520 SSD: 500GB SSD Samsung Wifi & Bluetooth: Dell DW1820A (Bluetooth: BCM2045A0) (Wifi: BCM94350ZAE) USB 3.0 Ethernet: Realtek 8100 Attached in this thread, my old clover configuration created by me (CLOVER OLD) and clover with Wifi driver (CLOVER) created by Hervè (I had asked help at insanelymac's community) P.S SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH. Thanks in advance -ANTONIO CLOVER OLD.zip CLOVER.zip
  8. Hi everybody, First this is my first post on this forum so I hope Im creating a topic at the right place Im french, so sorry for my bad english So I recently made a Hackintosh Laptop (on a ROG GL553VD-DM078T ) This laptop is based on a i7 7700HQ and a GTX1050. I installed MacOS Sierra using the Clover bootloader and succesfully installed the kexts needed but one of them is causing trouble. I Broke my internal ethernet Port so I must use a USB-C ethernet dongle in order to acces the internet ( The Integrated Wifi chipset isn't compatible so that's my only way to connect.) Without the UsbInjectAll.kext everything works exept my laptop keyboard wich use USB (yes, the internal ASUS Aura keyboard use USB interface, not PS2 or IC2 ). But if I load the UsbInjectAll kext the keyboard works, but the USB-C ethernet dongle is no more recognized at all ( not even in the system report menu) The weird thing is that if I plug a USB stick in the USB-C port, it works, but the ethernet dongle won't. So now I have 2 options : -or I load the UsbInjectAll kext and I get my keyboard to work -or I disable the UsbInjectAll kext so i can get back my ethernet USB-C dongle to work, but no more keyboard.... Can someone explain why do this happen ? Is there a way to get both The Ethernet dongle and my internal keyboard to work at the same time ? If Needed, I can provide more information about the hardware Used etc. Have a good Day/night
  9. I'm trying to install High Sierra 10.13.3 on an ASUS N552VW laptop, and I get stuck after this message: "could not recover SATA HDD after 5 attempts, terminating" And some other warnings afterwards. Specs: CPU: Intel Skylake 6700HQ 2.6GHz RAM: 16GB DDR4 2TB HDD + 128GB SSD GPU: Intel HD Graphics 530 + Nvidia GTX960m I'm installing using a 16GB USB3 flash drive on one of HDD volumes (UEFI Mode) I uploaded the verbose log and clover config.plist config-new.plist
  10. hi folks! i'm just checking for opinions here on a Clover based install of High Sierra. currently i can't boot directly from the internal drive on my hackbook, an ASUS ROG GL502-VS laptop (with the replaced WiFi card), though i can boot from the USB bootloader/installer i installed 10.13.6 fine using a prepared vanilla installer on HFS+ (not APFS), but my configuration is somewhat unusual. i have two drives. the first SSD has the Windows system, the second has two partitions with the 2nd partition holding the macOS system. when i ran Clover installer i could not use the UEFI option to copy to the EFI partition because it couldn't find one on that drive. so it installed the EFI folder on the root of the macOS partition instead. however, after a bit of tinkering around, i found out that there is an existing EFI partition on the primary drive called SYSTEM. it has a EFI folder and underneath that is a Windows folder, a Boot folder, and one called APPLE. i can mount this partition with Clover Configurator and copy files to it, but i don't know if this is a good or risky solution. i was thinking i would manually copy the CLOVER folder and the uefi64.boot file to this partition , making sure not to overwrite anything existing. using the UEFI setup, i can create a boot path from the SYSTEM partition to the Clover boot file, but i'm just curious if this is a useful solution or not, and i don't want to ruin the existing Windows 10 installation for sure. any advice appreciated!

In the rehabman guide there is a patch for ASUS in this case, there is a patch method FBST. There is no such method in my DSDT. Can someone help? 16. I am trying to install Mavericks (Niresh) on VirtualBox. My computer is HP Envy TouchSmart 17-j043cl laptop (Haswell i7-4700mq + Intel HD4600). I get following message and installation is stopped: *** [iOBluetoothHCIController][searchForTransportEventTimeOutHandler] -- Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport! I tried combinations of -v, -x, -f, CPUs=1, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, npci=0x2000, etc. but no success. Some people say it's not a Bluetooth issue; it's a graphics issue. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

  18. Hi guys! Im posting this because there's something really wrong with sleep in el capitan... I had a very nice install of Mavericks, with everything working, including sleep.. I have made a new fresh install of EL Capitan, and while performance is pretty much better, i have a big issue. Every time i put the laptop to sleep the screen just goes black, and the lights remain on. There's no instant wake problem, but the onlyway to get out of the black screen state is forcing the shutdown. I've been reading RehabMan's post about 10.11 USB changes and solutions, but i am a bit lost. I have no problem with doing DSDT patching or whatever would be necessary to solve this issue, it's just that there are many alternatives to solve it and I don't wanna mess up the install. Could anyone kindly guide me to what would be the best procedure to follow? My DSDT has been freshly patched, and i followed Rehabmans advice to not use multiplex patch, nor GenericUSBXHCI kext. Anyone would help? Thanks in advance PS: The only USB patch i used for the DSDT was the USB7/8 series patch
  19. I have a Toshiba X505-Q8104 Laptop running 10.8.2. I used (a slightly modded) iAtkos ML2 for installation. I have everything working except for a few minor annoyances and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas. I am running with a custom DSDT, with all the laptop sandy bridge patches. Although, I can't really see any differences when I boot without the DSDT.aml in my /Extra folder. 1. When I shutdown, the laptop properly shuts down, but in order to power on, I have to remove the battery and power plug before the power button will work. After removing the battery and unplugging, and then plugging either or both back in, the power button will work and the laptop will power on and boot properly. 2. Every once in a while (maybe 15% of the time) when booting, it panics in IOAudioFamily. Restarting usually works, and sometimes it seems like I need to use -v to boot, but once everything is booted, the Audio works rock solid. Of course I could remove the IOAudioFamily.kext, but then my audio doesn't work. I'd rather deal with the unreliable boot than have no audio. 3. When running a second display thru the HDMI the video works, but the external audio isn't available as an option in the sound preferences. Not a big issue, but when I watch videos on my external HDTV, I like to use the TVs audio instead of the laptops. Other than that, everything is working great and very stable.
  20. I am currently running snow leopard 10.6.3(via the ###### and retail method) on my HP 4180SF laptop. My specs can be found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02587937&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4301592&query=dv7-4180sf&tool= The only issues I am having are:I can only boot up from ###### legacy disk, 2 out of 3 usb ports work ,display mode is stuck 1024x768,the computer cannot be put to sleep or it freezes, and the sound works but cannot be controlled via the buttons or the preference pane. ANy suggestions or fixes for these? Also of note is that I have an i5 processor, but when trying to install Lion, its says its not compatible?!

  22. Currently trying to get OS X on my HP Pavilion 15-p200 Series. Have an i3-5010U, a Broadwell chip with HD 5500 Graphics. No nVidia or AMD graphics cards, just built in. Should be able to run OS X? But I'm pretty stuck. Clover doesn't want to run anything - black screens after choosing device. Chimera loads kernel, but gives ACPI errors. Think I need a kernel patched for Broadwell CPUs? Currently using one copied over from my Mac Mini (2012, i5) since El Capitan doesn't come with one. Edit: Yosemite 10.10.3 kernel Any ideas?

A good Hack laptop below $800?

Hello All, I'm looking for a laptop to buy for Hackintoshing, with a budget of $800. The primary use for it is Logic X, web surfing, Photoshop, sometimes occasional video editing. I have been looking through local catalogs to no avail, but most of the laptops out there carry AMD graphics nowadays which AFAIK don't work on OSX anymore? Maybe someone knows a good laptop under $800 that can run OSX and Logic well? Many thanks in advance!
  24. Hi to all This is my first time to attempt a DSDT patch but even if I read some guides using MaciASL I still don't know how to proceed. Before using Yosemite, I used VoodooBattery on Mavericks, but this solution is not working anymore. So I'm asking for some help in order to get battery management status. Also, for webcam (HP Truevision HD) that never worked even on Mavericks. Any help will be appreciated Thanks a lot
Spero possiate aiutarmi
