alien9
I am having problems with my Gigabyte Gtx 970 getting detected by Yosemite install. I have tried too many methods here and there to make it work and because I am a beginner and learning new things with each combination, I am repetitively failing to make that happen. So here are few things I did which are not working as expected: 1) I installed the appropriate drivers and tried to boot up with loading nvidia drivers from preferences center but that didn't worked. 2) I tried injectEDID, InjectNvidia and LoadVideoBios from clover bootloader option and also with the flag kext-dev-mode=1 but it failed to work. In 'about mac' it is showing gtx 970 "0"mb vram. Monitor works so slow that I can distinctly see each buffer and screen refresh every time. 3) I used additional boot flag nvda_drv=1 to make it detect the VRAM of the GPU but after the apple logo, monitor went black showing "NO SIGNAL" error where I have turn off the power supply to restart the system. Please would anyone guide me to make my 970 work with Yosemite.

Mrx33
ram 0 mb most like you have a gigabyte board like me you have to use or add this flag to your flags pcirootuid=1 i don't use clover i use chameleon you have to know where to put the flag in clover or look for that flag in clover options anyway these are my flags in chameleon <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 dart=0 nvda_drv=1</string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> if you don't have nvidia web drivers installed you have to boot with nv_disable=1 after you install nvidia web drivers then you don't need to boot with nv_disable=1 but make sure nvidia web driver is selected in nvidia driver manager with nvidia web drivers installed nvda_drv=1 without nvidia web drivers installed nv_disable=1 hope you understand
