thehotstuff
Hello everyone, I would to assemble a cheap desktop with Mavericks or Yosemite.Reading around, it seems that the graphics processor Pentium Socket 1150 (also Haswell i3) is not recognized natively by MacOS ..is this true?Around the motherboard, I like Gigabyte GA-H81M-HD3, which has the advantage of having both VGA, DVI, HDMI and Display Port. What do you think? kvonlinee
The board ga h81m hd3 looking good, but can have osx on with support integrate graphic through DVI and HDMI, not the vga, can't tell about display port because I don't use them. Support integrate graphic which mean the cpu had intel hd 4600, which is not the pentium 1150 haswell. I tried this already because when you update such 10.9 to 10.9.5 the patch kernel is not ready and it will break osx of the update version. If you want the pentium or lower like celeron, you could grab a ivy-bridge 1155 socket, then you need a gpu such Asus GT610 fan less, because the cpu those doesn't have support graphics by osx. Never have tried the VGA but just for the hell of it I took the HDMI cable from my spare machine's monitor the other day and connected it to my already existing Display Port and DVI dual monitor setup main machine all three worked at once without problems, HD4600 for the video in it.
