Not booting correctly after update

My hackintosh is not booting correctly.

I am new to hackintosh and so forgive my ignorance. I did not build it nor install it. I bought a complete hackintosh on ebay. It worked really well for a few months until yesterday. Yesterday I updated my software and I believe that the OS was updated as well. Afterwards it no longer boots correctly.

I believe the OS version is Mavericks 10.9.4. Hardware: Intel NUC, 1.8Ghz Intel i3 2317u processor, 16 GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM (2 x 8GB), 240GB mSATA and Intel HD4000 Graphics.

I've searched the forums regarding this topic, however I am not very technical and so I do not really understand what I should do. I found something about kexts but I do not know what they are.

Please help me, thank you in advance.

When I boot I get the following screen:

Do you have acsess to a Mac?

Do you have an mSATA to sata adapter?

If you have an adapter, connect it to an Mac/PC.

For PC, download TransMac to move the file.

AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext is in /System/Library/Extensions/

Otherwise, make an usb installer to do in terminal.

Hi dcai777, thank you for the information.

I am new to this so I am finding it difficult to understand what I should do to fix it. I did some research online for ways to create a boot usb drive but to do this I will need another mac which I do not have.

I still have my old windows 7 laptop, 2gb usb flash drive and 8gb sdcard that I can plug in via a sd reader.

I had a look at Transmac and I am not sure on what it is for. It also costs almost $50 which I cant afford at the moment.

How do I make an usb installer to do in terminal? Can you possibly give me a link to guide?

@artur-pt, thank you for your reply, I will check out the links you posted. I have to say that there are some many options I am just afraid that I will do more damage.

Also it is not chameleon, it says that it is chimera, please see below

Hello,

I just bought and installed Transmac.

I reformatted my 2 gb usb drive, is this enough? if not I have a 8gb sd card.

What exactly do I need to put onto my usb drive?

I really not sure about the kexts and what to do with them.

Hello

Chimera is a chameleon branch and this bootloader is used by tonymac, i believe that no one will help you if you use thi bootloader because no one in here like tonymac...

Use Chameleon or Clover as bootloader and i believe that many users will help you. :)

Hi PimentelX86,

thank you for your information. I was not aware that there were rivalries between the different systems. I do not mind what system I use, the main thing for me is to fix this problem as I am working on a project. I have been searching online for a solution. I have yet to find a step by stem solution that will fix the problem

Damn! You didn't need to buy it, the trial is good enough! :(

Find an iso or dmg for pc through unmentioned sources, then write it to the 8GB USB. Use Chimera (rebranded Charmelon) to boot it. After booting, select English then click Utilities>Terminal. Type

ls /Volumes then type cd /Volumes/nameofyourpartitonseenbefore/System/Library/Extensions/ then type cp -rf AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/nameofyourpartitonseenbefore/ then type rm -rf /Volumes/nameofyourpartitonseenbefore/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

Thank you for the information. I have a couple of questions.

What is the iso of?

What is "unmentioned sources"?

Do I put the chimera also on the usb?

How do I find out the name of the partition?

sorry for all the questions, I am finding this very difficult.

thank you again for your help.

@Pimentelx86 and @dcai777

thank you for your replies.

Unfortunately I do not have a second mac. I can download a copy of Mavericks, will that work. Will I be able to make a bootable usb via my windows laptop using the TransMac?

Also will I lose everything that I have on my mac once I install the new version?

Hello

Without working Mac you can try o find a working vm-ware image. I am sure, you know, where to find it. ;)

It's a good idea, but i never recommend for who want really use OSX... VM use emulated hardware, result in lost of developer and you never will get this working in 99%

photoaky213: I gave to you a solution to install OSX... see that please and install OSX in HDD

@ PimentelX86

Hello!

For sure just meant for creating the installer. I have done it in this way some times ago with ML for my notebook, because my desktop has been to far away. But your solution should suit better than my suggested emergency solution.

Have fun.

Hello

@styrian

I do not want you to get mad at me and  :( I want ve your friend :) I understand your point of view now, but I thought you were talking about installing the VM and let this installed, but I noticed that now that this is not what you meant...

Anyway, we can make our usb installer with Windows help... is a bit of hard, but is not impossible... ;)
