schot
Hey guys, I am trying to get OSX 10.9 or 10.8.4 working on my machine. Specs: MB: MSI H87-G41 PC Mate (BIOS v3.3) CPU: 4th gen i7-4770 RAM: Crusial 4x8Gb DDR3-1600 (XMP) cas8 HD: SATA2 Samsung Spinpoint 500Gb Video: nVidia Geforce GTX650 2Gb USB: Emtec 8gb (old system was X58, 16Gb-1333, i7-920 with the same GTX650) worked like a charm, only my motherboard stopped living.... The problem i get is that my machine reboots every time after the kext are loaded. So i boot with -x -f -v ... see all loaded kext and then after you normally get the new dark screen with smaller letters... my machine just reboots Checked BIOS: SATA on AHCI, with hot connect enabled CPU C states everything on enabled, C state level (i think it is called) on auto HPET Enabled LAN disabled AUDIO disabled Parallel port Disabled Serial port Disabled Intel mart Connection DISABLED BOOT on Legacy + UEFI (could chose this or UEFI only) UnP 2013 Power Save Dasabled Windows 8 FASTBoot Disabled I don't know anymore what to change... somebody here know how to get it working? Oh already tried to boot with: UHCIreset=Yes ResetFix=No nothing works....
WilliamO7
Did you patch your mach_kernel to allow haswell code on chameleon, using Kernel patcher.dylib or doing that single byte change?
schot
For osx 10.8.4 i used the kernel from 10.8.5 beta because a lot of people wrote that it works. Do i need to patch the mach_kernel from 10.9 DP4 too? I thought it will work.... Nobody here pathed it for the new hasswell did they?
schot
Did you patch your mach_kernel to allow haswell code on chameleon, using Kernel patcher.dylib or doing that single byte change? tried now to install Chameleon with the KernelPatcher module but it did not work Also tried to make a boot USB key with the latest beta of myHack and did not work too. schot
UPDATE I did a BIOS patch, and now the machine is not rebooting anymore.... Next problem.... getting the installation started.... my machine hangs now just before entering the installation of Mavericks.... just a white screen. I tried to launch my old Mavericks installation and that one hangs just after checking the Volume.... it just freezes.... Mountain Lion will boot with -x -v -f not nomad mode... problem with the CPU... already using for ML the 10.8.5 kernel (it is fixed for Hasswell) on 10.8.4 get AppleCPUPowerManagement error... on 10.9 dp4.... know idea..... just when it must start... it is doing nothing anymore... So next problem..... Last thing i see when i boot with -x -v -f is the checking of all disks and volumes and then is stop doing anything

Oh already tried to boot with: UHCIreset=Yes ResetFix=No nothing works.... Also getting the same problem on a HM87 chipset with a HW 4700MQ, so far the only installation that worked was using an iAtkos DVD installer for 10.8.2 (then could update to 10.8.4 using a patched mach_kernel). But noway to install Mavericks (reboot after kext load) when using USB. The exact same problem happens as soon as i update to 10.8.5.
