So I downloaded a copy of 10.8.2 and it's a VMware image.
The problem is, when I open it, it says "The cpu has been disabled by guest operating system."
Now there is a fix for this, but it doesn't seem to work at all. I've tried changing the VMK file too, but that didn't help at all.
Any ideas?

Mountain Lion does not run on AMD machines, whether natively or virtualized. You'll have to either wait for an AMD kernel for Mountain Lion or stick for now to Snow Leopard (or Lion, if you're running a Bulldozer or Piledriver machine).
