Hello to everyone, and oh welcome me to this crazy world :angel_not:

I am trying to install for the first time Mountain Lion on my Sony Vaio Laptop, here are my specs

Sony Vaio CPCF11M1E
Platform: Intel® Core™ i5 processor; Chipset Intel PM55 Express Chipset
CPU: Intel Core i5-520M Processor 2.4Ghz; Instructions Supported: MMX, SSE(1, 2, 3, 3S, 4.1, 4.2), EM64T. VT-x, AES
RAM: 4Gb DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
HDD: 500GB

And here is my problem, at first I was getting the error PCI Configuration Begin and then restart. I managed to get pass the error by typing

pci=off

before booting, but now I get the following error

console 1024x768 @ 0xe1000000

I tried to boot with the following flags

"Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x16" -v -x pci=off

But no sir no luck at all :hammer:

Can anyone, any soul, any :weight_lift: (champion) help me out with my problem?

Thank you in advance for your time :help:

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I am getting from one error to another.

I have succesfully installed the suggested kexts and repaired Permissions.... and now.... I get these error

using 64-bit bootcache playlist
BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
Waiting for DSMOS...

:| I feel so close on booting ML yet so far :worried_anim:

I found that the error Waiting for DSMOS has to do with the FakeSMC kext, what is the latest version of this kext and from where I can find it?

I posted my Extra Folder as well

Fix permissions and rebboted...

This is the first time I got pass DSMOS..... and i think I am one step before booting in to ML....

My last error is

Good new and bad news....

Firstly THANK YOU :wink2: iFIRE for everything and your help so far

Good News: I did boot in Mountain Lion and installed it on my HDD....

Bad News: When I try to boot from my HDD (Not USB) I get the error [PCI COnfiguration Begin] :help:

Looks like history is repeating itself :wallbash:

Any tips on that?

Why I can boot from my USB but not from Hard disk???

Do I have to transfer any kexts to the Hard Disk?

copy the folder Extra from your USBINSTALLER for root of your disk and use this boot flag, and copy all kexts from Extra/Extensions of USB for S/L/E hard disk

Yes I tried to do that...

I boot with my USB Open Disk Utilities

But I cannot copy-paste between my USB and HDD.... I can see all the files but when I right click I can only select "Quick lookup" (or something)

yes, hd (0,1 ) Mac this is your disk, select it an put the boot flag and enter

-f -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000

and if not work install the kexts from netkas in your Extra/USB installer

http://netkas.org/?p=1053

These of you who are stuck at [PCI Configuration begin/end] and npci=0×3000 doesnt help, you had to use 10.6.7 IOPCIFamily and AppleACPIPlatform

and cant try Mountain [s]Dew[/s] Lion. Well, no more.

NETKAS

ported IOPCIFamily-115 kext to work with new AppleACPIPlatform.

So, you can use it and no need to replace AppleACPIPlatform with old one, a bit better then having to replace both.

Here is a link to a kext and sources -

http://rghost.ru/36725147

Also, here is version for Mountain Lion, which allowed my lappy to boot 10.8 -

http://rghost.ru/36725213

(both versions include fixes for ethernet and wifi on laptops lacking iomap addresses)
