1.  OS X 10.11 El Capitan UEFI Clover on Sony VAIO S PLEASE REFER TO THE GUIDE. I WILL NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS IF ALREADY ANSWERED IN THE GUIDE! BY FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE YOU AGREE TO TAKE THE RISKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF LOSING DATA. ALWAYS BACKUP! This guide will give you step-by-step instructions on How to Install OS X 10.11 El Capitan on Sony VAIO SVS13. Sony VAIO S13p (SVS13A2C5E) Specs: Intel Core i7-3520M 12GB SDRAM Intel HD Graphics 4000 NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M Samsung 850 Evo 250GB What's working? Intel HD4000 Graphics with QE/CI Acceleration HDMI Sound (Speakers, Microphone, Headphone Jack, HDMI, USB) Keyboard, Touchpad USB 2.0/3.0 Webcam Optical Drive Ethernet Bluetooth (Intel) Brightness Power button Sleep/Wake UEFI/NVRAM *WiFi (Broadcom/Atheros) *Airport Extreme 2,4GHz/5GHz *802.11ac/n/g/b/a *Bluetooth (Broadcom/Atheros) *Airdrop *Handoff & Hotspot with BT4LE What's partially working? Bluetooth Intel BT worked OOB but does not feature Handoff since it's not a BT4LE. Replace your chip with an Atheros or Broadcom one. Webcam Since the Exmor sensor built in is not the best, you get a dark image in OS X. Windows uses software/drivers to increase the brightness. What's not working? Intel WiFi Apple doesn't use Intel WiFi. Replace your chip with an Atheros or Broadcom one. Discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 640M uses NVIDIA Optimus for dual-configuration which is not supported the same way on OS X. VGA Apple removed this feature in OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion SD-Card/Memory Stick Reader (no drivers for OS X) Speed/Stamina switch Fingerprint sensor (no drivers for OS X) Disc Eject/Assist/Web/VAIO buttons You need… ... an empty USB flash drive or an external hard drive (8gb at least) ... a Mac or a virtual machine with OS X (10.6.8 or later) On your Mac/OS X VM Download OS X 10.11 El Capitan from the App Store Create the OS X Installer You can actually create the OS X installer on the (external) hard drive but to keep things simple from now on I will refer to ‚USB‘. IF YOU HAVE IMPORTANT DATA ON YOUR USB, PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP! THE USB WILL BE FORMATTED AND EVERYTHING WILL BE DELETED! You can create the USB with either a MBR or a GPT partition scheme. If you select MBR, you will have to manually create a FAT partition for CLOVER EFI and a separate HFS+J partition for the OS X Installer. With GPT you just need 1 HFS+J partition and Disk Utility creates a hidden EFI partition. Since we will use this USB with a UEFI system, we can use GPT. On legacy system you need a MBR USB. Create Partition(s) on USB Open Disk Utility under /Applications/Utilities. Select the USB. Click on the Partition tab. Click on Partition Layout > 1 partition. Click on Options. Select GUID Partition Table. Apply with OK. Under Format select Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Under Name rename the partition to „install_osx“. Click on Apply. Click on Partition. When it’s finished creating the USB partition(s) close Disk Utility. Make OS X Installer on USB*1 Open Terminal and type this command, then press Enter: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/install_osx --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction You need a password for this command*2. Type your password and press Enter. This process can take several minutes, depending on the USB write speed. Mine took 5 minutes to finish. Close Terminal. You now have a OS X installer for real Macs. We need the Clover bootloader to actually boot the OS X Installer on a non-Mac system. *1 The createinstallmedia method is not supported under OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Use alternative methods. *2 If you don't have a password (blank), you need to set one under System Preferences > User & Groups > Change Password Install Clover to USB Download Clover EFI bootloader. http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ Open the Clover installer package. Click on Continue, Continue. Click on Change Install Location. Select your USB drive now called ‚Install OS X El Capitan’. Don't select the internal Hard Drive on your real Mac/VM! Click on Continue. Click on Customize. Check ‚Install for UEFI booting only‘. ‚Install Clover in the ESP‘ will be selected automatically and installed to the hidden EFI partition. Under Drivers64UEFI check ‚OsxAptioFixDrv2-64‘. Optional: Install BlueMac under Themes. Click on Install. Type your password. Click on Install Software. When it’s finished, press Close. Since the EFI partition is hidden, we need to mount it to copy some files. But the Clover installer already mounted it.*3 Go to the EFI partition (on your Desktop). Open the folder /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI Delete VBoxHFS.efi Download HFSPlus.efi https://github.com/JrCs/CloverGrowerPro/blob/master/Files/HFSPlus/X64/HFSPlus.efi?raw=true Copy HFSPlus.efi to /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI Go to the folder /EFI/CLOVER/kexts Delete all the folders inside /EFI/CLOVER/kexts except for ‚Other‘. Download FakeSMC https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fakesmc-kozlek/downloads Copy FakeSMC.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other Download VoodooPS2Controller https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-voodoo-ps2-controller/downloads Copy VoodooPS2Controller.kext (Release) to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other Download RealtekRTL8111.kext. https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-realtek-network/downloads Copy RealtekRTL8111.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other If you have a RAID configuration, you will need HPRAIDInjector.kext Download HPRAIDInjector.kext Copy HPRAIDInjector.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other Download a config.plist for your system with appropriate frame buffer for your display resolution. 1366x768 config_HD4000_1366x768.plist 1600x900/1920x1080 config_HD4000_1600x900.plist To download, select File > Save As Under Format select Page Source. Select Desktop as your location. Click Save. Click Don’t Append. Rename the config file on your desktop to ‚config.plist‘. Copy config.plist from your Desktop to /EFI/CLOVER and replace the default one. Make a backup of your /EFI/CLOVER folder to the other USB partition (‚Install OS X El Capitain‘). You’ll need it later. Create a folder for that. Eject the EFI partition. Eject the USB. *3 If you unmounted/ejected the EFI partition of the USB, read the Mouning EFI section under Post Installation of this guide. On the Sony VAIO S BACKUP ALL YOUR IMPORTANT DATA BEFORE PROCEEDING. THE HARD DRIVE WILL BE FORMATTED AND EVERYTHING WILL BE DELETED! BIOS Settings Shut down your laptop. Press the Assist button. Press F2 to boot into BIOS. Restore default settings under the Exit tab. Make sure ‚UEFI‘ is on. Make sure ‚Booting from external device‘ is on.*4 Save settings. Shut down your laptop. *4 This option External Device Boot applies when you set the external device to first boot priority. it doesn't affect pressing F11 to boot from External Device. Boot the OS X Installer Plug in your USB into a USB 3 port. The USB 2 port will not work without GenericXHCI (GenericXHCI does not work in OS X 10.11 El Capitan anyway). Press the Assist button. Press F11 to boot from external device.*5 Press ENTER to boot the OS X Installer. *5 If you have set the External Device as first Boot Priority you don't have to boot from Rescue Mode (Assist Button). Just connect the USB and boot your Laptop. Installing OS X El Capitan Select language. Continue. Launch Disk Utility. Erase your hard disk. Rename your partition and apply. Exit Disk Utility. Install OS X. Continue. Select your hard drive partition. Install. This process creates the Recovery partition. After a while the OS X Installer will automatically restart and beging the real installation. The real installation can take several minutes, depending on read/write speeds. When it’s finished you will again boot into your USB’s Clover Menu. Select your partition in Clover Boot Menu and boot into OS X. Configure OS X. Installing Clover to the Hard Drive To boot without USB you need to install Clover again - this time your Hard Drive. It’s a similar process to installing it to USB. Download Clover EFI bootloader. http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ Open the Clover installer package. Click on Continue, Continue. Click on Change Install Location. Select your Hard Drive partition. Continue. Don't select your USB. Click on Customize. Check ‚Install for UEFI booting only‘. ‚Install Clover in the ESP‘ will be selected automatically. Under Drivers64UEFI check ‚OsxAptioFixDrv2-64‘. Check ‚Install RC scripts on target volume‘ (Optional) Check ‚Install Clover Preference Pane‘ Click on Install. When it’s finished, press Close. Enable ‚Hard disks’ under Finder > Preferences > General > Show these items on the desktop. You can disable it later. Open the folder /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI Delete VBoxHFS.efi Open your USB drive. Copy the contents of the EFI-backup to EFI partition of your hard drive. Replace the files. Open the folder /EFI/CLOVER/kexts. Rename ‚Other‘ to ‚10.11‘. Restart your laptop without the USB and boot into OS X. Post Installation Mounting EFI Whenever you install something to the EFI partition, you will need to first mount it. Download Clover Configurator. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/182149214/cloverconf/app/10.10/CCV.zip Launch Clover Configurator. Mount EFI partition. Select diskXsY for your hard drive. Patching DSDT & SSDTs Extracting native ACPI files Boot into Clover bootloader menu. Press F4 on your keyboard. This will dump your native DSDT/SSDT files to /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin. Vaio users black screen after boot

Hi everybody ! let's start from the worst part : I have a vaio laptop :/ and looking for informations about my problem I could see that a lot of Vaio users have the same problem : Black screen after boot. What works on my laptop 1 - Wifi (internal) - Kext wizard 2 - Sounds 3 - Trackpad - Kext wizard 4 - Keyboard 5 - Bluetooth - Kext wizard What does NOT work: 1 - Internal monitor 2 - Advanced things that I don't know and someday will appear...hehe I need help from someone with knowledge in DSDT to try to patch my motherboard and make the internal monitor work properly. I could make a donation to this user that MAKE IT WORK (I promise). "Para brasileiros fica mais fácil de eu transferir algum dinheiro que eu ache justo, por favor não espere muito, pois é complicado..rsrs" I can send my DSDT and or any other system related file that you guys need to performe the patch. Hint: The hdmi out video and vga out works great with ce/qi perfect. But the internal monitor seems to be dead. It does not turns on not even praying! I already talked to Rehab and he said the does not know much about nvidia cards patch. I think we need to mod the nvidia driver and make a dsdt to make things work properly. Please let's help Vaio users. Also I want to share the DSDT code if you want this with other vaio users. Thank you guys. Keep in touch !
3. Hi everyone! I have a Sony Vaio Fit15E running macOS 10.12.5 with almost everything working. The only problem is that, when it wakes up from sleep (hibernatemode 3), the screen's backlight doesn't light up. In order to make it work, I have to close and open the lid one more time. After that, the backlight lights up just fine. The backlight worked fine until Yosemite, if i recall. I've tried a zillion methods, including some old GMA950 topics about that issue and also messed with all those darkwake options. I've attached my DSDT. It has the following patches: GFX0 -> IGPU, HDA Layout ID 3, Remapping Q8E and Q8F keys (for brightness keys) and Sony Vaio SVE Battery Patch. For brightness, I'm using the new method with separate SSDT_PNLF.aml. Brightness slider works fine. Also, I have the follwing kexts at Clover's other kext folder: ACPIBatteryManager.kext, CodecCommander.kext (HDA sound after sleep), FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext, FakePCIID.kext, USBInjectAll.kext (without these three, I can't get my built-in webcam and RT2870 usb wifi to work), FakeSMC.kext, RealtekRTL8111.kext and VoodooPS2Controller.kext. On System/Library/Extensions, I have: AppleHDA.kext (patched with HDA-Patcher) and RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext. As boot flags, I have: npci=0x2000, dart=0 and slide=100 (with this flag, hibernatemode 25 'full hibernate' works). I'm really creating this topic because I don't know what else I can do. I have years of hackintosh (since Tiger, not on this same hardware, lol), but I can't find a solution for this particular issue. Thanks you all. DSDT.aml.zip
4. Assalamo Alaikom Wa Rahmato Allahi Ta3ala Wa Barakatuh Installing OS X on Sony VAIO S HOT: 10.11 Install guide BETTER THREAD: El Capitan UEFI Clover on Sony Vaio S BY JOHNREY Post #369 I’ve been using this Laptop over a year! And I was trying to get OS X working on it, I failed and retried so many times until I got it (this summer ) to work 100% I would like to thank many users and programmers who helped me during that year, including but not limited to: (This guide MAY work with many other Sony VAIOs with UEFI support, try it Althought I do NOT support other than the model I have, I may help but use your goddam brain ) MY VAIO's Specs: What’s working: Disclaimer: NO ONE IN THIS FORUM (INCLUDING ME) IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS (DATA, MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT…) OCCURRED TO YOU, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE, AND BY FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS YOU AGREE TO TAKE ALL THE RISKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. THIS INSTALLATION ISN'T WITHOUT RISKS SO TAKE ALL THE PRECAUTIONS BEFORE DOING ANY FOOLISH ACTION, BACKUP YOUR DATA! AND FEED YOUR CAT! Photos here are only examples, use your brain! Important: Results may differ depending on your hardware, but since we have a lot of common equipment, the difference may be little. I can’t be always active and answer your questions, and btw, I'm not a dev or coder, I’m just a guy who want to share his experience w/ people who have the same computer, and I gathered information here so you wont need to look for it. A lot of parts from this guide are taken from the original |Guide| AIO Guides For Hackintosh, but since many of you are lazy (not all, just many) I rewrote the important parts here with a slice modification for our laptops. AAAAAAAAAAAAAND What we need: SAVE EVERYTHING! NOT BECAUSE WE WILL FORMAT EVERYTHING BUT FOR SAFETY! (YOU MAY TRY TO PARTITION ON WINDOWS, BUT IT MAY NOT WORK TRY ANYWAY!) Steps: Fix DSDT and using SSDT! Remeber! NEVER EVER USE SOMEONE ELSE’S DSDT! AS Pavo SAYS: “It’s like using someone else’s underwear!” SO PLEASE, DO NOT USE OTHER’S DSDT! Fixing Audio(*) & USB Output Now let’s install Windows! (only for people who used 10) Type2: Install OS X then Windows) B) LAST TOUCHES B)
5. Hi, guys! I would like to say you all thanks for your time. I saw how much help you give to people like me. I respect you guys! So, my issue. I have a Sony VAIO VPC-F13S1R that has the NVIDIA 425m video card and FullHD resolution. I have red many topics and tried many options which work with any other laptops, but nothing. Now I am on the 6,2 SMBios. I also tried to use the 3,1. Internal display works with the nv_disable, but has no full hd resolution. But I would like to have that. How can I get it working? Any ideas? Also, if I can't get NVIDIA working, may I use the integrated Intel HD Graphics video card that my VAIO have as well? Will it support FullHD resolution? Seems it doesn't support Full HD resolution, so the only one way to have Full HD is to get the NVIDIA working... I also thought, maybe Clover don't load the patched DSDT.aml... How can I check this? 7. Hi all, Coming from another forum ol*a.com, any help will be appreciated. Here is my laptop: i7-740qm/INTEL PM55/8G/Nvidia 330m/Intel SSD 180 G(recently replaced). The problem of USBF has just be solved, but the black screen shows without any information. I've tried the following: 1. The modification of board-id: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... amp;t=4920 2. the injection of EDID: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/topic/2066 ... -injection. None of the above worked. Maybe just a little trick or hint would help me out. Thank you.

ALC269VC on Sony VAIO SVE1512

Hi, I'm on OSX since 10.5 and 4 laptops to date, but this one is a pain. I have a sloppy, but working Clover based 10.11.1 on HDD, but since I just bought a SSD drive, I decided to start from scratch, looking for latest solutions. I found an excellent guide for similar device, but audio does not work. I do have a semi working patched AppleHDA, v2.5.3 by Mirone (attached), found somewhere years ago, but in the past I had some issues after wake (seems ok now) and audio through HDMI does not work. Thing is that apparently my ALC269VC is somehow a very rare thing manufactured by Sony, I can't really find any proper solution. I thought that someone could help me doing this properly once for all, using DummyHDA to persist stuff between updates. Device info: CodecCommander: ....CodecVendor Id: 0x10ec0269CodecCommander: ....Codec Address: 0 CodecCommander: ....Subsystem Id: 0x104d6900 CodecCommander: ....PCI Sub Id: 0x104d90ab Vendor Id: 10ec:0269 Subsystem Id: 104d:6900 Revision Id: 100202 I do believe that this ALSA report here has the same HDA codec information as my device (ctrl+f Realtek ALC269VC). Any support would be greatly appreciated, with beer donations. Cheers! AppleHDA-ALC268VC-2.5.3-Mirone.kext.zip Sony VAIO SVE1512M1EW - Clover config, DSDT, codec dump and IOReg.zip

Sony Vaio Duo 11

Hello everyone! First of all, I'd really like to say thanks to all these that contribute to this "scene" - or as it was said int he quiz, "hobby". Yestarday, I bought a Vaio duo 11 to side with my MacBook and I knew about hackintosh, so I had all the resources - especially, a real mac - just at hand, and tried everything out. Here are my results: Prepairing a usb device with myHack: Works like a charm. But you seriously must make sure you use MBR. Otherwise, it's acting funny. Thus, make sure you DISABLE intel VT and XHPI mode in BIOS. But once that is done, it just...boots. Installing Clover to a GPT formatted drive: Yes, works, but not OOB. To get Clover to boot, do this: 1. Download the Clover EFI package. 2. Start the installer, click "Select volume" and then your volume, then click next. 3. Now click customize. Here, you gotta check "Install to ESP", "Drivers64" and under themes, check the "metal" theme - it's the default. You may check another theme as well so you have an option later. I recommend bootcamp, its very nice for your eyes and if you used a mac before, its just like "Aha!". 4. Now we gotta edit the EFI files. Since a sort of "bug" in the clover installer, it lets the EFI partition stay mounted...which it actually shouldn't imo. Anyway, we can use that fact for something good. ( In case it didn't stay mounted, read my footnotes below. ) Open your Finder, and open the EFI partition. Or, press CMD+SHIFT+G and type /Volumes/EFI and hit ENTER. In there, open the EFI folder and create a new folder called BOOT. In this folder, you'll copy the files CLOVERX64.efi, CLOVERIA32.efi AND the config.plist file. Now rename the CLOVER files into boot - i.e.: BOOTX64.efi. If you installed a different theme, like the bootcamp one, open config.plist BEFORE you copy your files, edit the Theme setting and THEN copy the file into the BOOT folder. 5. You should end up with a structure like this: /Volumes/EFI/ /Volumes/EFI/EFI/ /Volumes/EFI/BOOT/ /Volumes/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi /Volumes/EFI/BOOT/BOOTIA32.efi /Volumes/EFI/BOOT/config.plist /Volumes/EFI/CLOVER /Volumes/EFI/CLOVER/......... Now, plug the device into your Vaio, press the ASSIST key, select "Boot from external" and Clover should pop up. However, when I use clover to boot, I get stuck at a "Waiting for root device" message - it obviously waits for a device. Its the same error that occured to some other people, and it is actulyl the only message in which you'll see a piece of XML! However, it looks like it has troubble with some drivers. I sadly don't have all the myHack drivers at hand, nor do I know how to install them myself. By the way, I used an entirely vanilla install of OS X. I used the one I bought from the App Store. Thus, I placed the Extras folder that is put into the drive's root by myhack into my clover folder into kexts/10.8 - of course, i moved the contents of the folder into the one i just mentioned, otherwise it wouldnt work...afaik o.o; As soon as I manage to get this working, Ill inform you. Again, when I legacy-boot Mac with chamelion and the image created by myHack, it works like a charm. I just didnt install it because I dont want to wipe my windows just yet Regards, Ingwie Phoenix EDIT 1 I managed to determine how myHack installed the image...and what mistake I did. You have to restore from InstallESD.dmg/BaseSystem.dmg first - then copy al the files fromt he root of InstallESD.dmg into the device as well. In other words, merge InstallESD and BaseSystem. Also, use myHack and run myFix to integrate all the missing kexts. that totally worked for me. I am now EFI booiting OS X. Touchscreen - who didnt expect it? - doesnt work. Stylus does, but with some oddities. Wifi isnt recognized yet. I dont know about the rest yet. Also, to boot up, you need to use Safe Mode (3rd entry in Clover when hiting spacebar on the OS X icon.)
10. Hello everyone! I am sharing the DSDT that DSDT Editor was able to extract for me. I have a near-complete installation, I am just missing small things like the brightness, USB 3, Sleep and to somehow disable the touchscreen since it is acting up the OS. I know that, for brightness, I need to add a PNLF (or similar...) device. But I am not able to spot my screen - I only find GFX0, but I am unable to idendify my screen like LCD0. The same comes in for sleep - when I select the Stand-By option from the shutdown-dialog it does indeed go down, but when I press the On/Off button again, it seems to crash as it tries to wake up, then completely reboots and prints me an error message in the dialog "The system wasnt shut down properly". But due to my Impairment, I am unable to actually read the error report :/ For USB 3, I installed "GenericXHCI" - or something like that - but it didn't work as well. Furthermore, if I make the OS boot with caches (In clover, "NoCaches"=>false) then I actualy loose my 2nd USB hub which correspondents to the actual ports on the device where I could plug in a device. I also have to use NullCPU because the OS doesnt seem tor eally like my processor - but idendifies it completely correctly as an intel i5. O.o I hope somebody is able to help me. My setup: Mashine: Vaio Duo 11 (SVD1121X--) Processor: Intel i5 (1,7GHz, dual-core) HD: 128GB SSD Graphics: Intel HD 4000 Screen (/ Touchscreen): some 1920-like resolution, its a retina-display, because when I reduce the actual screen resolution, the image litterally appears multiple times. It's 11" widescreen Boot: UEFI. Using CloverEFI Boot-args: slide=0 Regards, Ingwie! PS: Since uploading doesnt work at all since I am "not permitted": http://ingwiephoenix.tk/DSDT.aml

12. Version 1.1

SVT1311V2ES 1) Use Clover bootloader from clover folder (Legacy mode) 2) Put kexts to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10 folder 3) Put DSDT to EFI/ACPI/patched 4) Put config.plist to EFI/CLOVER folder P.S. wifi is unsupported by OSX. It should be changed with supported one (mini half pcie). I use AzureWave AR5B95. Thanks to SONY for no wifi white lists!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
13. Hello i have vaio vpceh16en...which has core i3 2310m cpu and nvidia geforce 410m graphics card...everything works perfect including nvidia graphics card ( detects natively with GraphicsEnabler or IGPEnaber flag) with smbios of mac pro 5,1..except speed step..because for speed step it require smbios of macbook pro.without speed step laptop is heating very badly... but when i start my system with macbook pro smbios..laptop display turn off at the login screen...also tried with PciRoot=1, injecting nvidia card info in dsdt. i am attaching my native dsdt ,patched dsdt and irog(with smbios mac pro 5).. and i am using yosemite 10.10.1 ( [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] installation ). Sony VAIO S Clover's Zip

Version v1.4

This file is a zip containing a Clover bootable files, IT'S WITHOUT CONFIG.PLIST so YOU GOT TO MAKE ONE yourself. This file is being used according to this guide : [GUIDE] Install Mavericks/Yosemite on Sony VAIO S (2012) -and other UEFI capable VAIOs- Follow that guide to COMPLETE your Clover Zip and make OS X bootable. Good luck. Big Update: 10.11 compatible with the latest Clover (3322 - 18 Nov 2015).
15. Good Day. I've basically got to the point of pitching in the towel and giving up forever on getting OSX running on my Vaio. I've built a few Hackintoshes in the past, and never had a project with NO success at all. And believe me, I've spent significant time, lots of downloads, multiple USB drives, DVDs... My Vaio has the following specs: i5-2410M CPU Intel HD3000 graphics 4GB RAM Bluray/DVDRW no bluetooth 640 GB SATA HDD Intel 6510 WiFi/WiMax (I have a compatible Ralink USB dongle I was going to use) Unfortunately, the BIOS has only one setting (other than boot order) that can be changed, virtualization...and I've tried with it enabled and disabled. Now I have attempted to install basically every version from 10.6 to 10.9. I used the 10.6 retail DVD with both boot CDs and bootable USBs. Using both USBs and DVDs, I have followed the guides for iAtkos, Niresh, myHack and even tonyMac. I've used stock images as well as modified USB images where I have added or removed kexts depending on the trouble shooting guides. I've built the USB installers using Windows, Linux and Mac. As for boot flags, I've tried various combinations of "-v -f -x cpus=1 acpi=off GraphicsEnabler=No ncpi=0x2000 or 0x3000 USBBusFix=Yes". In every case, I can't even get the installed to finish booting. They all, and I mean all stop around the USBMSC identifier line. Some versions stop at "DMSOS has arrived" or even at the "bluetooth control..." line. When I research these error/faults, they all point to the Graphics not starting. The GraphicsEnabler=No has had no effect, and I've even followed advice which recommends removing the AppleIntelHD*.kext files, and even went so far as to remove all graphics related kexts. In the end, I've never even gotten the installer to load. I've seen reports of other E-series Sony Vaios having OSX installed, so the BIOS limitations shouldn't be an issue. I've also seen many reports of i5-2410m CPU-based laptops with Intel HD3000 graphics having OSX installed. I'm at a loss as to what to do next, or any other method of install, other than buying another laptop with confirmed compatibility. And help would be appreciated.
16. UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is now very possible to boot my installer straight off the laptop itself! (Instead of swapping out hdds and stuff) Just install a kext from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/genericusbxhci/. From what I've found, Sony's motherboard uses XHCI to manage even the USB 2.0 drives. With this kext in place in /S/L/E in my OSX Installer, all three ports (USB2 + 3 + 3) work now. P.S. I am using OSX 10.9 Installer but this should work with ML too. Hi Everyone! I managed to get my Sony Vaio SVS1311FGS (Vaio S 2012 Series) on working with Mountain Lion DP4! Spec: i5-3210M (somehow unrecognized, cpuid model not found etc, but works) Intel HD 4000 (main GPU for OSX, works fully *details later below) NVIDIA Geforce GT-640M (Optimus cards are useless for Mac. However, I would like to know how to disable it via DSDT.) Realtek 10EC:8168 Ethernet card (work in progress, I haven't searched deeply for a 64-bit kext that would load in ML) Intel Wifi Card (garbage. I'm using a RTL8192SU USB dongle) Sound Card (lol, I don't know the model, but it works fine with VoodooHDA) (Should be the Intel HD Audio) Notes Beforehand: You cannot plonk in a USB OSX Installer made from either: ######, MyHack or any other USB solution. The absence of a BIOS mod (which I would have avoided anyway) to enable AHCI to get the USB Installer to recognize itself renders using USB Installers useless I'm not sure about using DVDs. I used a Sandy Bridge laptop to act as the installing machine instead. I switched their hard drives and got the thing to work, as my Sandy Bridge is hackintosh-friendly You need a special bootloader. No Chameleon-ML, No Chimera 1.10. You need those special ones OSX CANNOT BOOT FROM UEFI MODE. I use UEFI to go into Windows and Legacy into Mac. YOU MIGHT RUN INTO TROUBLE TRYING TO ENABLE CLICKING ON TRACKPAD. I've somehow managed to enable mine through the keyboard Steps: Partition the hard drive on any partition program (u can use diskpart or Disk Management from Windows itself) Remove it and place it into another machine where the USB Installers have successfully booted Get OSX installed. The hard drive is in a GPT format due to UEFI, no modding of Installer needed. When the hard drive is placed back into the Vaio S, get into the BIOS through F2 at boot and change Booting Mode into 'Legacy' and Place 'External Device' before 'Internal Hard Drive' in boot priorities THE NEXT STEP REQUIRES AN EXISTING MAC, to install the custom bootloader on the USB device. Get the USB Installer, insert it into the other Mac or Hackintosh and install http://blog.stuffedcow.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Chameleon-2.1svn-r2012.pkg, a bootloader by stuffedcow for HD 4000 users. Set the settings on the Installer as follows: Standard boot, GraphicsEnabler=Yes. Ignore the HDMIAudio, NVIDIA, ATI options. When you're done, navigate to the Extra folder on the USB stick, and place the DSDT.aml attached in the zip file in this folder. Boot the computer with this USB stick. When at the boot prompt for the OSX partition in the HDD, type: -v -f "Graphics Mode"="1366x768x32" HD4000PlatformId=3 This should get it all working. Fix Everything Up (Network, etc). Others: INTEL HD 4000 Credits: http://blog.stuffedcow.net/2012/07/intel-hd4000-qeci-acceleration/ The table for HD 4000 is there. Those platform-ids that start with 0166 are for mobile (ours). Those with 0162 are for desktops. If you wish to try the platform-id for the alphabets, a is 10 and b is 11. I've tested them and the platform-id 3 should work for ours. It enabled Internal Screen and HDMI. I'm researchiing on editing the connector info for VGA. Some info on connectors for HD 4000: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/60010-official-hd-4000-support-11.html NVIDIA GeForce GT640M Useless. Optimus does not work on OSX and probably never will as Apple uses MUXes. Do Note that the Speed/Stamina switch can be switched to either option. OSX does not care. However, I'd like to know how to disable it via DSDT to save battery life. REALTEK 10EC:8168 CARD In progress. INTEL WIFI Nope. Nada. Intel wifi was never used by Apple. USB 2.0 This will work if you use the USBPackage attached. Install the files in the folder 1 first, before installing those in 2.USB3 is a work in progress by other people using Intel's USB3 Controllers, although some have worked by changing XHCI setting in their BIOSes (no such option for us) SOUND Use VoodooHDA for Mountain Lion. SLEEP Using the SleepEnabler for Mountain Lion, but haven't tested yet. TRACKPAD Mine is Synaptics, so it works. But sensitivity needs changing. DSDT.zip USBPackage.zip
17. Hi, I recently decided to try to install OS X on my Sony Vaio SVS151290X (2013) I get stuck on the "bootcachecontrol unable to open /var/db/bootcache.playlist 2 no such file or directory" I have tried many boot flags and have tried waiting around 20 mins as is suggested in this post: http://www.osx86.net/topic/17287-unable-to-open-vardbbootcacheplaylist-2-error-during-installation/ THIS IS THE ORIGINAL GUIDE I FOLLOWED: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ I tried this guide because it was a similar model but I had no luck. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283613-sony-vaio-s-2012-ml-success-ivy-i5-hd-4000/ My specs: Quad Core i7 - 3632QM Nvidia 640M LE / Intel HD 4000 1920x1080 IPS Display 1TB Hybrid HDD I can post detailed specs if needed or take a picture of the -v diagnostic codes if that would be helpful? Thanks
18. Hi All, I'm trying to install 10.9 Mavericks on a Sony Vaio (sve1712bcxb https://docs.sony.com/release/specs/SVE1712BCXB_mksp.pdf) without much success. I have created a Clover R2689 EFI USB drive per the following http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/os-x-10-8-mountain-lion/ using Mavericks from the App Store. I have ensured that the Sony Bios, which is severely locked down, does have UEFI enabled and Secure Boot disabled. I have tried using the USB drive in various USB 2.0 ports on the machine. When I attempt to boot from the USB drive, I get "Waiting on <dict ID="0"><IOProviderClass</key>... followed by Still Waiting For Root Device message (see attached for screen capture). I have tried various bootargs per the guide including -v cpus=1 npci=0×2000, -v npci=0×2000, -x -v, -v GraphicsEnabler=no, USBBusFix=Yes, etc. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here so any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thx Josh
19. Hi there I'm a newbie on all this concerning to Mac for Intel. Recently I succesfully installed iATKOS ML2 on a PC so I thought there was not issues with the installation on my laptop. I'm installing from a DVD burned with TransMac 10.4. The OS X version: 10.8.2, the iAtkos ML2 version. When the laptop boots, the gray screen appears as normal, but if I press F8 or any key or even if I do nothing, the screen freezes and there's no more activity on disk. I've tried this several times, I checked the BIOS settings and still doesn't work. I used the same DVD on a PC and it works perfectly. My laptop specs (provided by Sony): Sony Vaio SVE14113ELW Intel Core™ i3-2370M, 2.40GHz, Intel® HM76 Express Chipset HDD 320GB 5400 RPM 6 GB DDR3 SDRAM -originally 2, I added 4- Intel HD Graphics 3000 BIOS boot (no UEFI) As a newbie, I don't know when and how to use the boot flags. The goal is to have it working along Windows 8 Pro. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sony VAIO VPCEB4C5E!

Finally I've got my Sony VAIO VPCEB4C5E works good with OS X 10.8 (updated to 10.8.4)! Only ethernet and card reader not work, but I'm working on it. By the way I've putted all my work, with some istructions (see the README!.txt) in a dropbox folder. There's also a txt with all the hardware and related Vid&Pid If is needed, dump your own DSDT, ACPI and other tables with AIDA64. I'll update it every time I'll update something on my Hackintosh. Here's the link: https://www.dropbox....56pq/uQI_SEcd1d (Revision 1.8) WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Do NOT use SMBIOSEFI.kext on 10.8.3, it cause kernel panic and OS X will not boot! <- Kext removed If you have some trouble or can help me to improve it feel free to reply to this thread. Works: - QE/CI! - WebCamera - Bluetooth - WiFi (by puttin' Vid&Pid in the original Apple kext) - Audio (With Voodoo HDA) [but sometimes sound crappy <- Seems this doesn't happens anymore] - Keyboard - Trackpad (as mouse, for now) - Volume buttons - Wireless switch (not fully tested, but for now seems ok) - Power button - DVD/BD drive (my machine have a BD Writer manufactured by Pioneer, but not tested if can burn discs yet) - About this Mac (Thank you artur-pt (10.8.2)! / Thank you apianti for new Clover (10.8.3)!) - Sleep (seems ok, but hibernation not works, so do not remove the battery or let it fully discharge!) - iCloud, iMessage, AppStore (see the How to!) - HDMI! (But, for now, without audio ) - VGA port, but by plugging in BEFORE boot OS X (You could have glitches on main LVDS if you change some display parameters or resolution) Not works: - Ethernet (by adding Vid&Pid in the original Apple kext OS X recognize it but does not connect) - Card Reader - Bright buttons - DVD Player (crash but VLC or XBMC works good) [Must do other tests] Known Problems: - The accelleration seems working a bit bad, FlashPlayer is lagging and the UI sometimes lag... <- Just reinstalled OS X directly from 10.8.3 and seems work good now. Maybe was an issue during various updates, or maybe a my fault while modifying some kexts related to the VGA. - OS X cannot recognize RAM modules, so "About this Mac" crash. Also "System Information" say there's an error about Memories... Dunno why! ç_ç <- Fixed with latest Clover (r1344), you don't need SMBIOSEFI.kext anymore!

Patched DSDT for Sony Vaio FW54M
22. Hi all. I am trying to install OS Lion to Sony VAIO S1512 the new model with Ivy bridge i7 and HD Intel 4000 graphics. It has almost everything from the Realtek (Audio, Network Family adapter,... etc.) Now, I first tryied to install it on external HDD, but here is the problem... I cannot pass the black screen. I already have a USB Bootable flash drive with clean installation of Lion that worked on my HP Probook, but here doesn't work. When it should get to the installation screen after loading the Kexts it stops at the BLACK SCREEN and doesn't go further. Any ideas? Oh... is it possible to install to second partition of my SSD which already has a Windows 8 on it? Thank you for your help.
23. Hey! I just tried to install Mountain Lion on my Vaio VPCEB46FG but when I inserted the ML DVD (after loading i B o o t) and pressed enter, I saw the apple logo for a few milliseconds and then the laptop rebooted. I also tried PCIRootUID=1 flag with -x but then it gets stuck on the apple logo (no loading animation, just the apple logo). This is the image of the apple logo my laptop gets stuck at I don't have any option in my BIOS for enabling AHCI but I am pretty sure it's already enabled. Check the image below: I tried with -v -x flags and as it got rebooted again, I made a video for you guys to see the errors. Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJeHy_gjdx0 and here's the same screen (without ATI info) in Virtual Box. Yes, the same reboot thing happens in virtual box too! I think this information will be enough to track down the error. Oh, and here's my config Intel Core i5 480M 4GB DDR3 RAM 500GB Hard disk ATI Mobility Radeon 5650HD Btw, I only tried with i B o o t and Empire EFI with same results. Tell me if I should try i B o o t Legacy too. Thanks
24. Salve a tutti!
