Search for ApplePS2 kexts for the touchpad to work. Not sure about the itunes error. Is id updated to the latest version?

And yes, itunes is latest. I'll look for the ps2 kexts. Thanks for you help too. I'm going to post a tutorial for this Dell.

Your missing IOGraphicsFamily.kext Is it SL this is from?

Install this with Kext wizard or Kext utility. You may need to use another mac to do this or connect the HDD to a windows PC using TransMac and add the file to S/L/E Or try booting your system using -x -f -v to get the file added.

Alright. I have a few errands to run, but I'll try that as soon as I get back. I have to go to best buy for a couple things. May just try to get a retail DVD from them.

-x -f -v gets me "Still waiting for root device"

Try PCIRooUID=1 -x -f -v or change =1 to =0

Tried both. Still giving me the same response. Ran Ubuntu live cd and I do have IOGraphicsFamily. So right now I'm putting SL back on and getting the wifi fix for my gf's dell. Then I'm going for ML on my MSi.

Sorry I haven't checked back in. Got lion working on my msi. Had to do the same thing I had to on the dell by removing applintelhd and one other one. Now I'm trying to get ML but it keeps getting hung up. I have a post on it. No commands work it seems. So I was going to see if you maybe had some insight. I'm too the point of pulling my hair out. Lol.

My installation of ML was a bit of a fluke. I added FakeSMC and NullCPUManagement kexts to the installer and installed it. Boot using ###### and installed all the needed kexts and bootloader and it worked.

I had to remove the AppleIntelHDA files from the installation to make it work with my MSi. Although when booting on the Dell it says Operation System Not Found. Not too worried about that right now though. Trying to get my ML tweaked back to normal. Well, Normal as can be. LOL

My ML is near perfect apart from no QE/CI but I can live with that.

Mine was working good until i added a userdsdt.. modified from mine, installed with that "beast" thing, now i can't boot at all.. unless its in single user.. i have another topic here
