I am trying to install OSX on my Alienware M17X R3 but it keeps throwing panics at me before the setup even starts...
My last attempt featured the Hazard 10.6.1 dvd, disabling almost everything in my bios (Intel superspeed, HD audio etc..), setting my HDD to AHCPI and booting using the flags:
cpus=1 busratio=20 arch=i386
The panic is thrown before the setup even starts..

My Configuration:
Alienware M17X R3
Sandy Bridge motherboard (don't know which exact one)
InsydeH20 Version 1.0 A08 Bios
Intel Core i7-2720QM CPU
4 GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M video Card (Along with integrated Intel HD Graphics card)
Currently running Windows 7 64 Bit (Backed Up so I am able to fully format HDD)
320 GB Hard Drive
Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Bigfoot Networks WIFI


Anybody have any ideas??

i have installed os x 10.8 (mountain lion) successfully. You can show your email, and I send "extra" file to you....

With that hardware theres no need to be even looking at the pre made distros. Have you tried ###### with ######?

I'm in exactly the same boat as the OP, only I'm not quite sure what the ###### #######'s mean xD

Could someone please help me out? I'm desperate to get this up and running on my M17x R3.
